For Whirlpool Dishwasher Control Board (Part Number: OEM18044859)

Carol for Model Number DU8900xy-1

My dishwasher runs but the switch does not advance to the next cycle. This happens no matter where on the dial I have it set - it does not advance. My repairman said that I need a new timer and the part number was 3369208. However, according to them the part is no longer available but I might have some luck trying the internet for a part. I have not been able to find such a part number that is associated with Whirlpool. Two questions arise: 1) is this the correct part number? 2)Is there a timer available as a replacement part for this dishwasher?

Hello Carol. The timer 3369203 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part.

Mark for Model Number 66513759K602

Good morning, The Kenmore Elite Dishwasher Model Number 66513759K602 has drained the water out of the dishwasher, however, the Cleaning Light keeps blinking ( 7 times, pause, then 7 times, etc ) and pressing the Start/Resume button doesn't initiate the wash cycle. I ran the reset procedure ( Hold Hot Dry button for 4 seconds, pressed Normal Wash, Hot Dry, Normal Wash, Hot Dry waited 2 minutes for reset but it wouldn't reset the contriol panel. Does the control panel need replacement ? Thank you for your time and help in resolving this problem, your time and help is greatly appreciated.

Mark, The clean light flashing 7 times is an error code that indicates that there is a problem with the heater circuit. You will want to check the heating element, thermistor or thermostat and wiring to the control board. If this all checks ok then the control is faulty and would need to be replaced.

Dave, Does the dishwasher fill to the proper level, water level should touch the bottom of the heating element or higher if proper. Can you hear the pump motor running ? If the motor is not running then it could be a control board or motor issue. If the motor is running, then you'll need to dismantle the assembly and check for clogs in the pump, or damaged impeller(s) that won't allow the pump to pressurize and move the water. A proper model number would be a really big help as well.

Jw for Model Number KUDT03FTSS0

My dishwasher will not run a cycle, but it will run the diagnostic cycle. When I press the Start button to run a normal cycle, the start button blinks at a slow rate rather than staying solid as it did in the past. I tested the Start button with an ohmmeter, and it appears to be normal. I also disconnected the keypad and closed the door, and the drain motor ran as expected with a normal keypad. All of the other bottons appear to work, with one exception: when I press "4 hour delay", its LED does not light up - instead the "wash" and "clean" LEDs light up. Ideas? Thanks

1 Answer

Hello JW. Check and make sure the door switches are good. If so, you need to order and replace the control panel on the unit.

Jerry, The flashing lights on the dishwasher indicate a stuck keypad and if turning off power to reset did not correct then you will need a new Control panel.
