1 Answer Hello Al. Press heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal, with the unit in stand by mode. It should start up and run through a short cycle. This will clear the code. Then, always get the water hot at the sink before starting the unit. Read More...
Paul December 02, 2012 for Model Number Model #DU1148XTPB7 Whirlpool Dishwasher Hi, "Normal" light is constantly blinking, and the dishwasher won't work anymore. Pressing the start button will do nothing. The only way I got it to work is by switching off power , opening the control panel, disconnecting the ribbon from the board for 5 seconds, reconnecting it, turning on power, and the dishwasher would work for a day or two. it will then start blinking again constantly. and won't work until I repeat the steps I described above. Is the issue with the control panel or the board? Which one do I need to replace. thanks for your help
1 Answer Hello Paul. Based on the information you provided, the control panel WP3385734 is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...

Ben November 22, 2012 for Model Number Kenmore Dishwasher 665.13844k601 I had a repair man come and look at the dishwasher. Lights on the control panel are not working correctly - however the dishwasher does go through cycles - tried hitting the reset buttons and nothing occurred. Repair man said need to replace the 'mother board'. Ok - know I am looking and I see a control panel and control board. Not certain which one to replace? Any idea as to how I can tell which one is not functioning? Thank you! Ben
1 Answer Hi. Remove the toe kick panel or the inner door panel to find the supplied user tech sheet. Find the supplied tech sheet inside the unit folded in a packet. This allows you to put the unit into a diagnostic mode. The machine self test each component one by one. If a fault code is found then it will pop it up. This allows the circuit and all devices to be tested as explained in the charts. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Usually a non- functioning white control panel is just that, it is part # WP8558209. The control board is part # WPW10084141. Thank You. Read More...
Marilyn October 03, 2012 for Model Number 665-13852K602 I used my dishwasher yesterday and it worked fine. Today I tried turning it on and when I push "start" it does nothing. I tried all the buttons and nothing lights up. First I pushed the GFI switch and that did nothing and then I checked the the Circuit Breaker and that was on. I also took the bottom basket out to see if it wasn't in far enough and that did nothing. I had a new control board put in exactly a year ago. Could that be no good already? Please give me a suggestion of what it might be. Thank you! Marilyn
1 Answer Hello Marilyn. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the thermal fuse W10258275 mounted to the control board may be bad and need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...

Jerry June 02, 2012 for Model Number KUDW03CTBL3 My Kitchenaid starts up well, water enters and is sprayed well in the washer. When the water drains the drain pump continues to run. It will run for 20 minutes then stop for 10 seconds and run again and again. There is no water in the tub. I have changed the float switch and arm. I have changed the electronic control board. I think it may be missing a rinse cylce because it never finishes the wash. There is still soap marks on the door. What do I try next?
1 Answer Hello Jerry, If there is still soap on the door, you are either not filling with water or your stopped up and not circulating. If it were stopped up it may or may not drain. The chopper assembly W10083957V needs to be checked to make sure the assembly isn't broken. If it is broken, the screen will be completely clogged with food particles. I would first suspect the water inlet valve WPW10158389, then the chopper assembly. Read More...
Allin June 02, 2012 for Model Number 665.13682K602 2 yr. old kenmore died after power surge. What would be most likely to check first then next, etc.--thanks, AL
1 Answer Allin, The first thing to check or replace would be the wiring and thermal fuse W10258275, also located in the control panel. You did check the wiring in the junction box behind the lower access panel to make sure there are good solid undamaged connections there first. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Wahoo May 31, 2012 for Model Number KitchenAid KUDI02IRWHO I have the problem with dishwasher that would not turn of until I pressed the cancel button at which time the dishwasher would drain. I have also discovered today that the "Rinse Only" cycle does not work. The light comes on but nothing happens and then it goes off. You recommended that I check the heater and if that works chances are that the control board needs to be replaced. Question: How do I check the heater? My guess is that it works because the washer steams up when I open it. Any other check to make to ensure that it is functioning properly?
1 Answer Hello Wahoo. If the dishes are drying and there is steam, the heater is working in the unit. Read More...
Wahoo May 30, 2012 for Model Number KitchenAid KUDI02IRWHO Dishwasher will not turn off. It just stays on the washing cycle. Only way to stop it is by pressing the "Cancel" button. The diswasher will drain. I suspect that the control board is the culprit and needs to be replaced. Any other suggestions as to what may be causing this problem? How do I access the board?
1 Answer Hello Wahoo. Make sure the heater is working properly on the unit. If so, it sounds like the control board WPW10084141 will need to be replaced. You can access the control board by removing the inner door panel on the dishwasher. Make sure you disconnect the power to the unit. Read More...
