Kevin September 14, 2016 for Model Number KUDS02SRSS1 This dishwasher does not reliably complete selected cycles. The first symptom was water failing to drain. I cleaned the filter and food chopper, checked the flap in the drain, and disconnected the drain hose and pumped water easily into a bucket. I have used the heated dry/button sequence to clear the 7 clean light flashes or the flashing sanitzed light when that option had been selected. Sometimes I can get several completed wash cycles in a row and at other times I have to do the reset. When I select sanitize I usually end up with a flashing sanitize light. I seem to be able to use the rinse cycle and it does drain properly. When the dishwasher malfunctions sometimes the soap box fails to open and I have standing water. At other times it seems to get further into the stages before the malfunction happens. It does get steamy hot inside but I am unsure if this is due to the heating element or the hot water supply. When I do start a cycle and a get a malfunction I can watch the timer on the front display count down without hearing different stages as they should ocurr. I suspect the control board more than the heating system. Does this unit have a thermistor in addition to a thermistat and where would it be? Can you provide some guidance or you best diagnosis? I wanted to avoid pulling the dishwaher if it was not necessary. Is it likely that the interconnect board is a problem? Some of these parts are expensive to replace if they are not needed. Thanks. 1 Answer Kevin, With the clean light flashing 7 times this would indicate a heating circuit failure. With the other issues that are going on this would indicate that is most likely the control board that is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...

Is this correct?? If so, if the inner connect and ribbon cable were OK, there would be no sense in replacing the control panel. Is that correct?

The thermal fuse. 2, The door latch. 3. the continuity of the relay board on the control panel and 4. the continuity of the ribbon cable between the control panel and the control board and all are fine. I replaced the main control board. When the power was turned on the control board "clicked" and the dishwasher started to drain, then nothing. Disconnecting/reconnecting the yellow plug in the control board started to fill the washer. This seemed to work only once. What else could be the problem since the keypad is still dead?

Steves March 31, 2016 for Model Number 665.17034403 This question is similar to the other blinking light questions. The Normal Wash light blinks and after awhile turns off. Then the China Gentle light starts blinking and when it stops blinking my or may not start blinking again.. This cycle repeats and every so often I notice that the Smart Wash light will turn on solid or all the lights are turned off. Unlike the other questions the dishwasher can be started when the China Gentle light is blinking or the Quick Rinse cycle is selected. From your other replies it appears that I have a defective control panel. Will the diagnostic tests you described in an earlier question work for my model? Or, should I just buy a new control panel? Newbie October 31, 2015 for Model Number KUDS02FRSS0 “Normal” and “Light China” lights blink continuously. Pressing “Cancel” causes Cancel light to blink continuously. Pressing “Start/Resume”(S/R) does nothing. Open door, press S/R, close door, Cancel light stops, but Normal and LC continue to blink. Disconnect power, wait 30 secs, reconnnect, Normal stops blinking, LC continues. Press S/R, Normal and LC both blink continuously. Keypad or control board or both? Other recommendations. Thanks.

Wayne K August 14, 2015 for Model Number 665.13843k601 I have no function lights on the operators panel, nor does anything start if I depress any of the function buttons. The thermal fuse has continuity as do the two microswitches on the door lock interlock. When I reset the breaker to the unit after checking out the power, the drain pump came on and cycled but after it finished, the unit still would not function.
