Darryl B August 09, 2012 for Model Number Gu2300xtvb1 The machine comes on and sounds like it is working but it does not put any water in the tub The float switch is good (tested with a meter) the inlet valve solenoid measures 1.08k ohms. This seems good to me is the control pwb not sending the voltage to the soliniod.
1 Answer Hello Darryl. Test for power to the water valve. If there is no power coming to the valve, check the wiring or replace the board. If there is power there, but no water, order the valve and replace it. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Tavia July 27, 2012 for Model Number KUDS40FVSS3 KitchenAid Dishwasher I need to diagnose is my control panel is fried. My doorswitch is good and the thermal fuse is good. The machine will not turn on. It is new. I live in remote Alaska and need to repair myself.
1 Answer Tavia, If you have the proper power supply, and the door switches and fuse are "good" you'll have 120 VAC across P2(white) and P8(tan) on the control board, with the door switches bypassed. If thats the case, you'd want to program a diagnostic/reset test and or conduct a test on the keypad ribbon( P1 connector on the control board) to isolate the control board as the issue. We're sending you some test information, that should help you through. Read More...
