Doug November 03, 2011 for Model Number Kitchen aid KGRT607HBS9 Just ordered and installed control assembly 9782455. Proceeded with End of Service Test a number of times to step 13. No display per instructions past this point. After pressing Start, receiving error F1-E3. Research tells me that this error code is: "Wiring Harness Cavity Size Does Not Match Stored Value - Check the jumpers in the harness to make sure they agree with the actual oven size" What does this mean? New contol panel connections look identical. Have disconnected and reconnected all numerous times in the same manner as removed from the replaced control panel. Key pad works fine - have been using the range without display lights for months. Please provide specifics. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Doug. Check and make sure the pin in the connectors are making contact with the pins on the control board. Also, if the connections are good, you need to try to run the end of service test sequence. Hope this helps. End of service test sequence: For Convection Units: 1. Press CONVECTION BROIL. 2. Press CLEAN. 3. Press BAKED GOODS. 4. Press STOP TIME. 5. Press 1. 6. Press 9. 7. Press 0. 8. Press TIMER SET-START. 9. Wait 3 seconds. The clock display will show “6AS” and one of the following: - “hb-FS”, for Hidden Bake Free Standing units (with top light), - “Eb-FS”, for Exposed Bake Free Standing units (with top light), - “hb-SI”, for Hidden Bake Slide In units, and - “Eb-SI”, for Exposed Bake Slide In units. 10. Next, in order to confirm proper function for each feature, keep pressing START until control scrolled through all features. Read More...
Al October 15, 2011 for Model Number KGRC707LBSO I have just installed the control panel (9782455), I followed the installation instructions of the end of service test procedure. And I am not having any luck in getting beyond step 13. At step 13 I press the start button and it does not display "6AS" or "ELE". It displays 8 and when I continue to press start all I get is 8s. When attempting to set the clock it seems like the oven wants to turn on? Can someone help me?
1 Answer Hello Al. These can be hard to do sometimes. Make sure all the connections are good, and the steps are followed correctly. If so, the control board WP9782455 should program properly. Hope this helps. Read More...
Tony September 27, 2011 for Model Number KGRC608Lsso Getting an F2:E1 on the display panel, also makes iratic beeping noise. Do I replace the control board or the glass panel? What does the F2:E1 mean??
1 Answer Hello Tony! The F2 E1 failure code indicates a keypad cable is unplugged: 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board). 2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock). Your keypad is part number 9782418CB. Thanks! Read More...
Subvet J. September 22, 2011 for Model Number KESC308LSS0 All indication lights on the control panel are out. The oven works in spite of being dark. We are using same from the experience having it.
1 Answer Hi Subvet. The control panel is part # WP9782455. The led's on the panel will dim with age. They have revised the controls with better circuitry to help so this wont be as much of an issue, if at all. Thank you. Read More...
Jeff C. June 16, 2011 for Model Number model#KE5C307HWW8 serial#IMP4614110 How would an oven contol board [# 9782455] be properly installed? Its an expensive item and would not like to mess it up. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Jeff! You will need to remove the control panel end caps on the sides of the panels. Remove any screws holding the panel down. Once the panel is removed disconnect the ribbon cable that connects the panel to the board. Remove any wiring from the board. Insall the new board and wiring and replace all parts. Hope this helps!
