The Spark Electrode is an OEM part for Whirlpool ranges. It is responsible for generating the spark that ignites the gas in the burners, allowing for efficient and reliable lighting of the stove. The spark electrode is located near the burner and produces a high-voltage spark to ignite the gas.

Causes of a bad spark electrode can include wear and tear over time, buildup of food debris or grease that can interfere with the spark, and damage from cleaning or handling. Electrical issues can also cause the electrode to fail.

Symptoms of a bad Spark Electrode include:

  • The burner not igniting
  • Weak or no spark
  • Clicking sound without ignition
  • The burner lighting inconsistently

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
