Vernon T. March 22, 2012 for Model Number KUDP01FLSS1 Dishwasher will not start. The last time it ran a full cycle but did not drain all the water out. When I started again it ran but still did not drain all the water. Now it will not start at all. The green LED lights come on excluding the start LED. The Led lights stay on for several seconds and then turn off.I replaced the ribbon cable and the door switch and that did not fix the problem. What do you think the problem is? Thanks
1 Answer Hi Vernon. DISHWASHER : Flashing green light means the heating circuit or the drain circuit/hose has an issue. Ohm out the heater to see if it has continuity and not open. Make sure all wires are connected tight and not bad.Heater part # 8194200.The thermistor part # WP8269208 will tell the board if the heater has to be initially used to increase wash temperature to at least 120°. Are you running the sink water hot while loading the dishwasher? Is the water heater set to at least 120°? Is the drain pump clogged or inoperative part # WP661658? Make sure the drain hose is not clogged at the sink or the sink clogged. Use the lower kick panel tech. sheet or behind the control panel. David P. September 16, 2011 for Model Number KUDP01FLSS1 KITCHEN AID I did NOT change the wires with the fuse, only the fuse thinking it wouldn't make any difference. The dishwasher worked afterwards and I ran several washes. Only upon trying the LIGHT CHINA cycle did the problem start over again and the fuse went out leaving a cycle undoNE and water in the tub. I played with it again this morning and I do not hear any relay switch clicking like I thought I did yesterday. It is totally dead. The fact that there is water in the tub leads me to think that the drain pump or something related is causing the fuse to short out, but those parts aren't related to the LIGHT CHINA setting and the fact that it doesn't work. I'm baffled.

Panel lights came back on and cycles run, except the light china cycle, so I replaced the user interface board.
