Hello Bruce. Yes, you will need to loosen the screws, but do not remove them. Then remove the old gasket from the unit. Soak the new gasket in the bath tub with hot water for about 15 to 20 minutes to help you install it. Install the new gasket starting with the corners and tighten the screws. Close the door and make sure there is a good seal all the way around the door frame.

Hello Sonny! No, the door gasket WP12550111Q does not include instructions. Pull the old gasket off. The new gasket will press into the door liner. It may be best to soak the new gasket in warm water to help take its shape/form You may need to use a hair dryer to form the seal, be careful not to melt it. Hope this helps!

Hello Betty! We were not able to get a match on model number SD25DQXXN but we were able to locate model number ED25DQXXN. The fresh food door gasket is 2188433A and the freezer door for that model number is 2188434A. Thanks!

Hello Thomas. The new gaskets WP12550111Q and WP12550112Q should not be push in gaskets. However, you will need to remove the retaining strips from the old gasket and install them on top of the flap on the new gaskets to hold them into place. Hope this helps.

John, Not really, You have orderred the correct part number for the refrigerator door gasket. Over the years of production, numerous parts are eliminated or substituted to other parts that are similar and are "functionally proper". As long as you're sure the gsket is installed and secured to the door assembly properly, the seal is proper and tight all the way around the door assembly, you'll be fine. Thanks and Good Luck.

Walter for Model Number TR22S4W

Fridge door seal located by the lower door hinge is folded over on itself by about an inch. It's like the seal was too long and the fold took up the slack. The corners are slightly pulled but not enough to gain an inch of overlap (requiring 2 inches of material). It't been this way for as long as I can recall, even prior to moving it into the garage 8 years ago. Recently the door has not sealed properly causing a warm box. After cleaning coils and making sure door is tight, temps dropped into normal range (I am able to get the freezer to zero degree). In a warm garage, the unit is no doubt running more than it should. Is this seal issue familiar to you? Is there something I can do to make the door seal improve? I have the unit leveled properly, leaning backwards slightly. I have a picture if this helps. Guessing it wont help much to talk about the current seal. It's obviously not right. How difficult is it to replace the seal? Do you have a video reference? Thanks. Walter.

Hello Walter. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the door seal WP12550111Q is bad needs to be replaced. You will need to remove all the screws around the inner door panel to do this repair. When installing the new door seal start at the corners and work your way around. You may need to use a hair dryer to form the seal around the door frame. Be careful not to melt the door seal by getting it to hot. Hope this helps.
