John Q Public for Model Number TN21V2W I ordered this gasket from Whirlpool, and was sent one with a. The part number and the length and width are good. The thickness is only 1/2". My olg gasket has a base of 1/2" and a sealing area that overlaps the screws and and expansion area connected for a total thickness of about 1".The Whirlpool customer service reps don't know what's wrong. Can you help ?
Answer John, Not really, You have orderred the correct part number for the refrigerator door gasket. Over the years of production, numerous parts are eliminated or substituted to other parts that are similar and are "functionally proper". As long as you're sure the gsket is installed and secured to the door assembly properly, the seal is proper and tight all the way around the door assembly, you'll be fine. Thanks and Good Luck.
