Karin April 04, 2017 for Model Number 55242400 I ordered a new control module for my Kenmore ice-maker. I am currently using it but had to remove the small piece that the baler hooks into it, as I was unable to remove it, not matter how I turned and twisted it. The goods news is the module fixed the problem; the bad news is that now it won't stop making ice even if the baler is up. I think it's because the existing piece is not properly hooked into the control module. This is difficult to determine because you have to go by "feel." I think it would be a quick fix if I could disengage the baler and start fresh. How do I get the baler disconnected? I watched the video and it looked really easy. Mine seems like it's glued in, just won't budge. This would otherwise have been an easy job.
1 Answer Karin, You will want to pull the bale air off the fill cup first and then you will want to place your thumb at the front part of the bale are and push while wiggling the arm toward the back of the icemaker. Read More...
Dick March 23, 2017 for Model Number W10190935 Ice Maker Module Just received the Ice maker Module for my Whirlpool GS6SHEX NS00 refrig. Installed module, however, after several cycles to purge air from supply line, it does not fill. Only the first two or three cube slots fill. The module does not allow the valve to stay open lone enough. What can be done to lengthen time the supply valve is opened? If this is a problem with valve, I would like to have it replaced.
1 Answer Dick, If the icemaker is not filling up enough then this would most likely not be a issue with the icemaker module. The icemaker will only call for water for about 7 seconds and you will want to make sure that there is a good water filter in the unit and if this is good then it sounds like a issue with the water valve. Larry January 16, 2017 for Model Number Amana side by side I have an Amana side by side refrigerator and the ice maker is not working --the auger works but the water fill does not fill tray. The water dispenser also works. What do you think ?
1 Answer Larry, Check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen but this issue sounds like it would be caused by a faulty water valve on the unit. Read More...
Kevin December 26, 2016 for Model Number gt1shtxmqo3 Ice maker bale arm wont stay down, it makes ice fine but the arm has to be put down wont stay in the on position? Whirlpool ice maker. //
1 Answer Kevin, You will want to pull the icemaker out and check to make sure that the bail arm is in place on the back of the icemaker module properly. The other thing that would cause this would be a bad icemaker module causing this issue. Read More...
Dick November 06, 2016 for Model Number ED2VHGXMQ10 Icemaker was filling with water usually only takes 2 or 3 seconds this time the water would not stop. I ran down stairs to shut water off after I cleaned the mess up turned the water back on and it seems to be working fine. Do you have any idea what would cause this problem. I'am leary now of leaving it on when not at home.
1 Answer Dick, The most likely cause for the water to continue to run would be that the water valve stuck open causing water to continue to flow. The part that you would want to replace is the water valve. Read More...

Ed September 12, 2016 for Model Number KSRG25FKWH01 After producing ice for several days, my ice maker is still overflowing with water. So far, I replaced both ice level control boards and the water sol valve. I am ready to replace the ice maker control module. Will this finally solve the problem with water overflowing the ice maker?
1 Answer Ed, Yes the issue would most likely be in the control module that is causing the unit to overflow the icemaker. Read More...
