Karin for Model Number 55242400 I ordered a new control module for my Kenmore ice-maker. I am currently using it but had to remove the small piece that the baler hooks into it, as I was unable to remove it, not matter how I turned and twisted it. The goods news is the module fixed the problem; the bad news is that now it won't stop making ice even if the baler is up. I think it's because the existing piece is not properly hooked into the control module. This is difficult to determine because you have to go by "feel." I think it would be a quick fix if I could disengage the baler and start fresh. How do I get the baler disconnected? I watched the video and it looked really easy. Mine seems like it's glued in, just won't budge. This would otherwise have been an easy job.
Answer Karin, You will want to pull the bale air off the fill cup first and then you will want to place your thumb at the front part of the bale are and push while wiggling the arm toward the back of the icemaker. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, April 6, 2017
