I have installed W10884390 icemaker as replacement for W10377152 in a lower freezer that has a drawer pull out. The unit installed well but is producing a little too much ice. Also, is there an adjustment on the ice sensor arm other than bending it a bit? When you try to move the arm up to turn off the icemaker it comes in contact with the top of the freezer and is difficult to turn off.

Martin, if the model number could be provided in a new inquiry, this will allow for the most accurate information possible. However, if the icemaker did not seat down fully onto the screws that mount it to the side wall, it can raise the icemaker enough to where the spacing is not properly allowing the arm to operate as needed.

I just installed this in my refrigerator but it won't stop making ice. The arm doesn't appear to be working to stop the ice. Any ideas?

Hello Caleb, The new icemaker W10884390 has to have a problem since the on/off switch is connected to the bale arm.

The unit in question makes ice but not all cubes drop i would say 1/2 the other it seems drops water and then freezes in the bin making it all solid . I have removed it cleaned it and looked at nothing seems clogged . when i put it back and it dropped the first patch it worked correctly the second drop back to to the same. will replacing the unit correct the issue or is it something much more

Stuart, Changing the icemaker on this unit should correct the issue that you have with the icemaker not producing.

Where is the adjustment screw to regulate water level for the ice maker. The ice maker has w10364659a on a sticker on the unit. However, the replacement ice maker unit is model w10884390. I cannot find an adjustment screw and we are having problems with the ice maker overflowing from front right into tray. We have already replaced the valve. Same issue. Thanks for your help.

Patti, If you remove the front cover from the icemaker there will be a small nylon screw on the right side that can be used as adjustment but can only be turned a max of a 1/4 of a turn. It would be recommended to pull the icemaker out and check the mold for it peeling or deteriorating which would be the most likely cause for a leak in the area of the icemaker that you are referring to it leaking at.

Installed this i/m and it is making ice. My issue is, is there an adjustment to decrease water flow on this icemaker?

Dbennett, There is a small plastic screw at the front of the icemaker that would be an adjustment screw and you would simply turn it a 1/4 turn counter clockwise but no more than that.

Kurt, part number W10884390 will work for your model, it comes in a complete assembly with the thermostat installed.

I ordered a ice maker part number W10884390. When it came that was the number on the box but the tag on the maker says W10793297 are these part interchangeable or did I get the wrong part?

Ryan, as long as the icemaker electrical connection is the same, it should work. The part from out web site says you need W10884390

Received new icemaker but the feeler/sensor arm didn't drop down it only moved about one inch from off lock to on. Was sent a replacement icemaker but it was identical to first version sent. Your picture shows the arm in the correct down picture. ????

Greg, thank you for your question, when you install a new icemaker it is already pre-cycled so that it is in a harvest mode. It will finish the rotation and then the arm will drop to the correct position.

Just installed the ice maker because my old one would not fill up with water. Water is now flowing with the new one but it is leaking out of the bottom of the ice maker and into the ice tray. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Ashley, If the icemaker is dripping from the front then this would possibly be a damaged icemaker and would need to be replaced.

I installed this replacement icemaker, very simple. I get water, water freezes, but when the ejector cycles the shut off arm stays in the up position so a new water cycle does not start. If I manually flip the arm down I get water and it starts over again. If I manually move the arm up and down it seems to be normal - clicks and stays up, clicks and swings down. When I swapped the arm I simply installed it into the two holes. Any ideas

Russ, This sounds like an issue with the ice bail arm. When you installed the arm onto the new icemaker it may have stretched to where it is hanging up. Try to push it back together a little and put a light coat of grease around it where the back side of the arm goes into the fill cup hole and see if this does not correct the issue.
