Tom July 22, 2018 for Model Number Kitchen aid kgst307hbl6 Intermittent problem. Oven starts and then stops with error code f7-e0. Convection works.
1 Answer tom, the error code you have listed is a door latch error. Check the door latch switches for continuity and the motor to make sure it is in the proper position. Read More...
Robert T April 15, 2017 for Model Number KGRT607HBS6 Have KitchenAid gas range, When first turn on oven smell gas for a few moments then gas smell goes away and then oven heats-up and seems to work fine. Could you help me fix the problem?
1 Answer Robert, The most likely cause for this issue will be a weak igniter which would be part number WP9782065. Read More...
Rshanks66 September 18, 2016 for Model Number KGRT607HB54 I replaced the Ignitor and the Temperature Sensor but the oven will still not heat up properly. After replacing both parts, the over only heated up to 275° after being on for about an hour. The broiler does work, however. I could see the Ignitor glowing yellow and the Broiler had blue flames. Does anyone have any idea why the over won't heat up after replacing both of those parts?
1 Answer RShank66, With this issue, it would most likely be weak bake coils not allowing the gas to flow properly or shutting down sooner than it should. This would require the gas valve to be replaced. Read More...
Corbett March 18, 2016 for Model Number KGST307HBSO Broiler doesn't work, hasn't in a long time. Oven is fine. Is there is a separate part number for the broiler igniter? When I search the same number comes up for oven and broiler igniter.
Thomas M March 05, 2016 for Model Number KGST307HWH4 The oven does not light. The broiler works fine. When inspecting the oven the igniter does not come on. I ordered a new igniter from you Do you think this is the correct solution.?
1 Answer Thomas, The oven igniter could be the issue with the unit but if this is not the part that corrects the issue then you would need to have a new control board. Read More...
Dave December 14, 2015 for Model Number GW395LEGB5 Oven is suddenly tripping GFI when started. Cooktop and broiler functions still wok fine..Im thinking that the problem is limited to the oven the ignighter may be shorted out and causing the gfi to trip.We have been using the oven for the last 10 years with no problems.
1 Answer Hello Dave. You will need to check for as short going to the ignitor on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Skye May 12, 2015 for Model Number Kitchenaid model: KGST307HWH0 My oven doesn't heat. Broiler and stove top works just fine. I wanted to isolate if the problem is the igniter or the safety valve. Would you know if there are separate safety valves for the broiler and another for the oven? I want to be sure I measure the correct valve. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Skye. Test for 3.0-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Janie November 29, 2014 for Model Number KGRT600HBL5 I think I need an ignitor...but is there one for the oven and one for the broiler or does one control both? I think 2? Sometimes the oven heats to temp (but it may take long!) some times I have to shut it off and on a couple times. The broiler does not flame.... The ignitor that I can see on the top of the oven is red but NO flame comes out of the broiler holes.... Should I buy 2 ignitors? I do not have one of those testers and I couldn't afford the 40 dollars they wanted for one at Lowes... I was going to buy a new range but I do not like any of them and have decided to try and fix this one...When I first got it new the service guy (under warrantee) came and replaced the ignitor a couple times...It was the same problem then as now so that is why I think it is the ignitor..Thanks for any help... janie
1 Answer Janie, Both the upper and lower burner has an individual igniter. To determine if the igniter is the issue you will need to test the safety valve to see if it is getting proper voltage. Test for 3.2-3.6 vac at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Bernard January 20, 2014 for Model Number kgrt607hwh9 I have repaced my gas valve/regulator# 9752698 and ignitor 9782065. I have proper voltage at the valve and proper resistance at the ignitor (glows white and checked with ohm meter). Oven still does not come on.
1 Answer Hello Bernard, This sounds like a gas supply issue. You should have the utility board come out and check the gas pressure. If this is good, the only thing it can be is a stopped up burner 9751367. Read More...
Cam December 14, 2013 for Model Number GW397LXUQ07 The oven didn't heat properly tonight. Broil works good. Checked igniter on lower manifold and it seems to take long to ignite. Is there a way to test if we have an igniter problem or some other problem? We've had this unit since new about a year and a half.
1 Answer Cam, You have " Hot Surface" glow bar igniters in your oven WP7432P136-60 . The best and easiest way to check the igniter is with a "clamp on" ammeter, clip the arm around one of the igniter wires and program a bake cycle. You should read a 3.2 to 3.6 amp draw on the meter in approximately 30 to 40 seconds, if not, or it takes too long, it is an indication of a "weak" or inoperative igniter. Weak igniters account for 95 % of gas oven temperature issues, so it's a pretty common issue. Read More...
