Cam for Model Number GW397LXUQ07 The oven didn't heat properly tonight. Broil works good. Checked igniter on lower manifold and it seems to take long to ignite. Is there a way to test if we have an igniter problem or some other problem? We've had this unit since new about a year and a half.
Answer Cam, You have " Hot Surface" glow bar igniters in your oven WP7432P136-60 . The best and easiest way to check the igniter is with a "clamp on" ammeter, clip the arm around one of the igniter wires and program a bake cycle. You should read a 3.2 to 3.6 amp draw on the meter in approximately 30 to 40 seconds, if not, or it takes too long, it is an indication of a "weak" or inoperative igniter.
