Jay July 06, 2013 for Model Number ghw9100lw1 I change the actuator switch and still having same code 0:02.
1 Answer Jay, The Error F02 is an indication of a long drain. You will need to check the drain hose to make sure that it is not clogged or kinked. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure that the pump is running. Check the pump filter for foreign objects and if these do not correct then replace the pump. Read More...
Andrew April 20, 2013 for Model Number LAT8826AAE I recently asked the question further below and as advised... I ordered the unbalance lever 22001969, however... when I received the item I noticed it may not be what I need in its entirety. I went back and looked over my question and I may not have been clear but I had indicated I was looking for the piece which presses against the lid switch and have kind of narrowed it down to possibly being the plunger. "I could be totally incorrect" I am confident I will still be able to use the unbalance lever... but "is it the plunger that is pushed when the door is closed", (and when door is closed then the plunger pushes the lid switch to show the washer is closed so it can agitate.) I could very well be wrong, and do apologize for not having an idea... but in the photo of a lit switch kit, there is a grey plunger... is that something which pushes the white button on the unbalance lever, then making it so the washer can then agitate. I do so greatly appreciate any and all of your assistance.
1 Answer Andrew, The part that would be required is the unbalance lever WP22001681 which is the plunger. Read More...
Ardel January 29, 2013 for Model Number MAV5057Aww Just started a load and washer working OK. Opened lid to toss in one item; closed lid...and nothing. Believe it is the lid switch and that it just fell off or ??? (because when I poke a screwdriver in to see ifI can bypass the safety to see if washer will work, there is nothing at all there.
1 Answer Hello Ardel. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the lid switch is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Make sure the outlet for the washer has power. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Matt O January 06, 2013 for Model Number LAT9206BAE Hi. Great website... My washer stopped spinning in spin mode and emitted a burnt rubber smell. Belts look okay and motor has continunity but only turns easily in one direction. I can turn the large pully under the agitator counter clockwise and the agitator turns, but when turning clockwise after a half turn resistance builds to the point where when letting go the pully spins in the reverse direction. Any suggestion to repair this washer and avoid buying a new one? Thanks, Matt
1 Answer Hello Matt, The motor 12002351 on the unit should turn freely in both directions. You may also want to pull the belt off the unit and check the drain pump WP6-2022030 to make sure that it is also spinning freely in both directions. Make sure that you are checking the motor spinning with belt off. Read More...

Eli T March 23, 2012 for Model Number Model: LAT2500AB, Serial 29266893YY Washer does not admit hot water. Fills with cold water only and goes through complete cycle. Hot water hose is hot near the spigot it is attached to. Could this be due to faulty lid switch? I replaced it a few years ago when the original switch would not admit any water at all. Any other possibilities?
1 Answer Eli, It's not the lid switch, It's most likely a clogged hose or valve screen, and or faulty fill valve WP96160 WP22002360 . Turn the water faucets off, remove the hoses at both the faucets and fill valve and check for sediment in the screens and "flush the faucets, if the screens aren't clogged, replace the fill valve.
