Ryan for Model Number MHW6000XW2 My Maytag washer stopped during spin cycle, and looks to have not drain completely. It was flashing codes F06/E02 and the door would not unlock, would just flash door lock. After loads of research, I opened the front panel to clean out the drain catch and tried again with no luck. Noticing a lot of people refer to the MCU for the fix, but wondering if it could be the CCU. Don't want to spend almost 300 on a part that doesn't fix the problem. The operation of the MCU is for direction of the drum and what not, and the CCU operates the drain, fill, ect. What part do you think needs replaced with said problems/codes?
Answer Ryan, This issue would be more likely in the CCU and not at all in the MCU. The F6 E2 is a communication error between the CCU and User interface. Verify continuity in the cables between CCU (U17) and User Interface (C2). If this checks ok then the CCU will be the most likely cause for the error. Read More...
