Frank January 28, 2012 for Model Number MGR6875ADB I have a Maytag 5 Burner range Model Number MGR6875ADB and water got underneath the ON / OFF Gas Knobs. The Igniter was clicking uncontrolably for about 10 minutes, then there was a burning smell then no more clicking. Now when I turn on Gas Knob no spark clicking.... I have to light with match. Which part do I need?
1 Answer Hello Frank, according to the model number and serial number beginning with 10. If you are having to light the one burner this happend to, you will need to replace the switch assembly which includes all 5 burner switches 12002791. If none of your burners are clicking, you might need a new spark module 74009098. Hope you find this information helpful, thanks! Read More...
Mike October 19, 2011 for Model Number mgr5875qdq My oven takes a few min to inginte when it does a loud whoosh sound occurs especially in convection mode. Obviously not using oven now. Oven 8y/o. The top burners all work well no problems.
1 Answer Hello Mike. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the oven igniter WP7432P136-60 is weak and will need to be replaced on the unit. If it is weak, it can take several minutes to lite the gas. Hope this helps. Read More...
Doug October 03, 2011 for Model Number JDR8895SAAS I have the Jenn Air JDR8895AAW. Some water got under the gas control knob, and shorted our the igniter (sparks, smoke, etc), and no more ignitor clicking sounds. How hard is it to replace this item? Also, when all this happened, the latch for the lower overn locked. Could this be related?
Ray August 18, 2011 for Model Number jdr8895aaw I have a jenn air model number jdr8895aaw. My wife spilled water on the stove top 5 days ago. The igniter keeps clicking to start, I bought a new igniter module from you, I thought maybe it was fried out. But when I put it on today the same thing happened, do have any idea what it could be?
1 Answer Hi Ray. Reverse the 120vac plug. If the plug is put in upside down (or shorted wires ), it will call for continous spark. Try this first and let us know the outcome. Thank you. Read More...
