Trevor W February 01, 2016 for Model Number RAB4232EW0 It appears that my gearbox is leaking and is why my washer is making noises. With that said, I need a gear box but after research I see parts specifying for (neutral drain). I don't know what that means. Is this something I need to specify with order my gearbox assembly for Roper Model RAB4232EW0?
John January 03, 2016 for Model Number 110.82873110 Clothes get wrapped around agitator during agitate portion of wash and rinse cycles. This is the case for both Regular and Permanent Press loads although Delicate loads go through. Also, during the neutral drain portion of the wash and rinse cycles, sometimes the tub stays still as expected and sometimes the tub spins (which it shouldn't do). Lid switch, motor coupler and clutch all check out fine.
1 Answer Hello Skimmer. If the unit does not spin or drain, you will need to check the lid switch 3949247V and see if it is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Al May 06, 2015 for Model Number MVWC700VW1 The spin cycle on this Maytag direct drive washer is intermittent. Agitation is fine, Water fill and pump out is fine. Lid switch has continuity and all cycles work except final spin - clothes are left wet in washer. If I open the lid and manually turn the inner tub clockwise or counterclockwise, then close the lid, the spin cycle engages. I can hear motor spinning at all times. Motor coupling is fine and not slipping on shaft. Clutch is not slipping. All suggestions are appreciated. Is this something in the gearcase and can the case be repaired? I see a neutral kit in the parts list, but am unsure of what it does. When I disassembled the washer, I turned the input shaft and the agitator shaft and clutch spun. What am I missing?.
1 Answer Al, If you are having to open the lid and then it will engage the spin cycle then the neutral drain is what would be the issue. The neutral drain is to keep the unit from spinning until the drain part of the cycle has finished. You will want to replace the neutral drain kit for this issue. Read More...

Tim S. November 29, 2014 for Model Number MVWC300VW1 My Maytag washer works fine except for when it is done spinning it makes a knocking sound for a few seconds until the drum stops spinning. It does the same thing if you lift the lid while it is spinning. It agitates and spins normally. It also appears that the tub moves up and down slightly while it is making this noise. Can you make a best guess at what is causing this to occur? Parts to replace? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Tim, You should pull the agitator and make sure the spanner nut is tight. If not, the drive block WP389140 will need to be replaced. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Keith! You will want to look inside the agitator, the agitator dogs might have stripped and no longer agitates. The kit is part number 285811, we also have a video listed so you can check your parts before ordering. Thanks! Read More...
Jeff June 08, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore - 110.24862300 Hello, My washer won't spin. I removed the transmission and opened the gear box. I found that on the Neutral Drain parts, one of the plastic pieces (I think its called the trigger lever) is supposed to have a small spring on it, mine does not. Would this prevent the washer from spinning? Thanks
1 Answer Jeff, Yes, the spring missing could cause the issue of no drain but the main cause of a no spin issue would most likely be a faulty clutch assembly. Read More...
