Roger June 05, 2013 How do you remove the replacement switch to start the dryer. I already removed the back metal plate and can see the push start switch but not sure how to remove it. Thanks, Roger
1 Answer Hello Roger, If you refer to the first picture of the switch on our website, the long narrow part that protrudes to the right is a lock. It should be raised with a small screwdriver and then the switch will rotate. After rotating about 1/4 turn, the switch will drop out into your hand. Read More...

Lou December 13, 2012 for Model Number 110.67902790 Dryer starts immediately when moved from "off" position without pushing the "push to start" button. I open and close the door to turn it off and on. The push to start switch tested OK at a replacement parts place. What do I need to replace to fix it???
1 Answer Lou, Based on your post information, if the start switch is working proper, and you have to open the door to stop the dryer, the motor switch neutral cicuit would have to be defective. You'll need to replace the motor assembly 279787 or check the white wire to the motor for a short to chassis ground. Read More...

1 Answer Hello David. Check and make sure the door switch is good. If so, you may need to replace the thermal fuse WP3392519 and check for a venting issue with the unit. Read More...
John S. July 01, 2012 for Model Number starter switch #3404233 Sears. Have replacement switch but not sure which wires go to what terminal.
1 Answer Hello John. If you look on the unit, there should be a wiring diagram to help you locate the correct place for the wires on the start switch WP3404233. Most of the time, it is located in the control panel of the unit. Read More...
Dan June 28, 2012 for Model Number LTE6234DQ3 Dryer will not start. I checked thermal fuse, door switch, push to start switch all OK. I can hear the timer running. The push to start switch has 4 terminals which are hot? From what I understand voltage should come from the motor to the switch? Any ideas? Is the motor bad?
1 Answer Hello Dan. On the side of the switch WP3404233. When pressed, the com and the NO will read closed for continuity on a meter. Try opening the door and taping the door switch closed. Then press the start button and use your foot to spin the drum. If the dryer runs, the motor is bad on the unit. Read More...
Bobby February 09, 2012 for Model Number 1106763260 When I push the start button the dryer will not start .. ?
1 Answer Hi Bobby. You need to check the thermal fuse first to see if it is open part # WP3392519 located at the blower hsg. You can temporarily jump these 2 wires together w/ elect tape and see if it works now. If it does then you have located the issue. If not then use the same principal on the start sw, by jumping the wire and the wire together. If the unit now runs then replace the start sw. which is a relay system part # WP3404233. Thank You. Gordon W. August 04, 2011 for Model Number Kenmore #11062622101 80 series I have a Kenmore Electric Dryer 80 series Model #11062622101, it was working fine and dried a load , went to do a load later in the day and does not do any thing when you push start button, black micro swith on door seems to click when you push it and door latch still line up. Push to start button seems to be spongy but you can still hear a clicking maybe going to a relay. I ordered new push to start button from here and was sent the wrong one. Is there something else I should be looking for?
1 Answer Hello Gordon. You will need to test and see if the thermal fuse WP3392519 is bad on the unit. It should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Steve March 21, 2011 for Model Number 11060802990 I have a Kenmore series 80 dryer, model 11060802990, which starts running when you push the push to start switch but stop when the switch is released. Dryer heat does work. I have read through the forum and the likely cause is the motor relay, however, as far as I can tell this model does not have/use a motor relay. Also it does not have the "even heat" feature. Any ideas ?
1 Answer Hello Steve. The motor switch for your model is built in the motor. 279827 Hope this helps. Read More...
