Chris October 03, 2013 for Model Number MDB7749AWM1 All the buttons light up but the start button (so it does not start). From the other responses to similar problems, it appears I need to replace the control panel. Is this the right part number for my model and is it the only part I need to make this repair:AP4588346 ? Thanks Chris

Gerald February 19, 2013 for Model Number Maytag MDBH989AWS1 The machine suddenly won't start. When I close the door and press the cycle selection button and select the drying options, those lights will light. I can feel the start button "oil canning", but the machine won't start. Is this the door latch switch, or do I have to replace the whole panel? How can I test the switch?
1 Answer Hello Gerald. Test the door switches in the unit. If they test good, then you will need to replace the panel. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Leo January 14, 2013 for Model Number mdb7449aww1 Hi, about a month ago the start button on the dishwasher keypad stopped working. Yet the machine would run great on the autocycle. Well the washer totally stopped yesterday..no lights/no power/won't run. I come to the conclusion that the lack of power is either. 1. bad power cord 2.door micro switch 3. mother board 4. key pad went bad 5. thermal fuse on control pad is toast.. Okay after I did a few test I closed the dishwasher door and it came on for a few seconds. The panel light illuminated for "wash". The machine hummed/ no water was released and then stopped again. Yet refused to do this again when I reopened/closed the door. This mysterious power came on again like 3 separate times over a 4 hour period as I was cleaning/checking things.. I checked the door micro switch with multimeter..fine I tried to check the thermal fuse..? can't you remove the plastic end that hold in the black wires without destroying them..the plastic ends appeared to be a part of the thermal fuse??? Someone suggested cleaning the control panel "ribbon" with electronic cleaner ( it's pin connection) Is there a way to test the key pad or to see if the motherboard/control board is bad. what do you think is bad?
1 Answer Hello Leo, Based on the information provided it sounds like the keypad W10810424 is what has failed on unit. Read More...
Joe January 02, 2013 for Model Number MDB7809AWQ2 The start and cancel lights do not light, but all others do light. I believe I need the Control Panel part W10199786 for my Maytag MDB7809AWQ2 dishwasher. Does that sound correct? Also, the Maytag part number is listed as W10199756. I just wanted to double-check that W10199786 will be a color match (bisque)?
Jesse November 28, 2012 for Model Number mdb7709aww2 A repairman changed touch pad control panel and it looks like where you open the door dose not look right
1 Answer Jesse, "where you open the door does not look right" isn't enough informartion. But you will want to remove the control panel and check the door latch handle WPW10205890 for broken or bent tabs, check to make sure the door latch assembly WPW10404412 properly mountad and secured to the door liner and control panel. Kathy November 12, 2012 for Model Number mdb7749aww2 My one year old dishwasher is skipping the wash cycle. Also, the LED light on the Auto Cycle is out. Will this part fix these problems?
1 Answer Hi. Use the tech sheet & wiring diagram supplied with the unit. In behind the controls or in the storage drawer folded up in a packet. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. From the description of issues then the control board part # W10810424 commands these actions. Thank You. Read More...

El Conquistador May 26, 2012 for Model Number MDB79809awm1 Looking at the picture for this part, W10199784, I was wondering if the correct part was pictured. The white version of the control panel for my diswasher matches the one for my dishwasher, in that it has more functions (the white one is p/n W10199785). Just wanted to verify before ordering, I prefer the black panel since apparently the stainless one is no longer available.
1 Answer Hello! I do apologize for the confusion, we do have the incorrect picture listed for the black control panel part number W10810424. I have sent a request to have it removed and updated. Thank you. Read More...
