Leo for Model Number mdb7449aww1

Hi, about a month ago the start button on the dishwasher keypad stopped working. Yet the machine would run great on the autocycle. Well the washer totally stopped yesterday..no lights/no power/won't run. I come to the conclusion that the lack of power is either. 1. bad power cord 2.door micro switch 3. mother board 4. key pad went bad 5. thermal fuse on control pad is toast.. Okay after I did a few test I closed the dishwasher door and it came on for a few seconds. The panel light illuminated for "wash". The machine hummed/ no water was released and then stopped again. Yet refused to do this again when I reopened/closed the door. This mysterious power came on again like 3 separate times over a 4 hour period as I was cleaning/checking things.. I checked the door micro switch with multimeter..fine I tried to check the thermal fuse..? can't you remove the plastic end that hold in the black wires without destroying them..the plastic ends appeared to be a part of the thermal fuse??? Someone suggested cleaning the control panel "ribbon" with electronic cleaner ( it's pin connection) Is there a way to test the key pad or to see if the motherboard/control board is bad. what do you think is bad?

Jesse, "where you open the door does not look right" isn't enough informartion. But you will want to remove the control panel and check the door latch handle WPW10205890 for broken or bent tabs, check to make sure the door latch assembly WPW10404412 properly mountad and secured to the door liner and control panel.

Hi. Use the tech sheet & wiring diagram supplied with the unit. In behind the controls or in the storage drawer folded up in a packet. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. From the description of issues then the control board part # W10810424 commands these actions. Thank You.
