  • Replaces a cracked, worn, or cosmetically damaged console to restore usable controls
What's included
  • One control panel (console) assembly as shown
Install notes
  • Always disconnect power (unplug or switch off the circuit breaker) before servicing to avoid shock
  • Handle the panel carefully to avoid damaging the display lens or ribbon cable; set small parts aside during removal
  • Installation may require removing trim and bezel screws; keep hardware organized for reassembly

CDan, You will want to check the ribbon connection to make sure that the ribbon harness is not damaged or corroded. This sounds like an issue with the control panel.

Hi - I've had this dishwasher for about 4 years, and just the other day, I went to change the options (wanted to do a hi-temp wash) and the light for that option wouldn't light up. I can use the dishwasher on the settings it had (which is Normal cycle and heated dry) but the rest of the cycle buttons and the rest of the options buttons won't light up when pushed. Does this mean the control panel needs to be replaced? Or is it something that I can fix by cleaning off the terminals or something? If it needs to be replaced, is it just a matter of taking the inside panel of the door off, unplugging the old control panel and plugging the new one in? Or is there something else going on here? I would surely appreciate any advice you can offer! I suspect that the other buttons are not long for this world if most of the rest of them have gone the trip... Thanks very much! Kim K.

Hello Connie. It does sound like the control panel is bad. These are not to hard to replace. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Remove the inner door panel and remove the cover off the control board. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board and remove the screws holding the control board housing in place. Next remove the screws holding the control panel in place. Reinstall with the new control panel in reverse order.

The start button on my Maytag dishwasher doesn't work. Other buttons on the control panel do work.... so we are getting power. It's just that the start button won't light up, nor will it start the machine. Do I have to replace the whole control panel for this, or can I order a smaller part, or perform a smaller repair to fix it? Also, I'm not even sure that a control panel will fix it-- I don't know anything about repairs. I'm just assuming it will.... Any thoughts? Mrs. C

Mrs. C, With all other keys working but the start button you will want to check the door switch on the unit. The unit will not start if the door switch is faulty.
