This control panel is the appliance's front console that houses the user controls and display, restoring normal operation and allowing selection of cycles, temperatures, and settings. It replaces a damaged or unresponsive console to regain control functionality. What it does

Hello Connie. It does sound like the control panel is bad. These are not to hard to replace. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Remove the inner door panel and remove the cover off the control board. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board and remove the screws holding the control board housing in place. Next remove the screws holding the control panel in place. Reinstall with the new control panel in reverse order.
