At first, the light cycle button stopped working, then the normal cycle button stopped working, then the start button stopped working. My husband changed the circuit board which did not fix the problem. He doesnt want to buy another part that doesnt fix the problem which cant be returned. Any ideas? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Sharon, First off, any parts you bought from us can be returned for refund for any reason within one year from the date of order. You just have to call in for return authorization first. This sounds like a bad connection of the ribbon cable. The door panel should be removed and check for signs of moisture in the control board area. If there are any signs of moisture in this area, the air vent gasket WP8269259, the front seal WP8269258, or the vent WPW10164259 will need to be replaced. Either way the ribbon cable should be cleaned with a dry pencil eraser. Rub the ribbon cable only toward the end and never rub it sideways to avoid damaging the ribbon cable. Dave July 02, 2012 for Model Number mdbh979awb2 I have one light that works on my control panel. I have been told that I need a new control panel AP4434653 and then on a subsequent call I was told that I needed an electronic control AP4588346. I know the part can be returned if it does not fix the problem, but which part does it make sense to start with? No other lights come on and the "heated dry" is the only one coming on.
