Maytag dishwasher has been working fine for 2 yrs. Tonight the Start button will not function. The Heavy/Normal/Light buttons light up correctly; the Hi Temp/Heated Dry/Sanitize also light up correctly; but Start and Cancel will not "press." I tried the Hi Temp/Heated/Hi Temp/Heated sequence, and got the machine to run through a self-check. During the check, all button lights (including Start & Cancel) did go on. But after self check, I still could not get the machine to start. Will this require a full replacement of the Control Panel (Part Number AP4434653) or the Electronic Control (Part Number AP4588346)? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Joe. You will disconnect the power and remove the inner door panel. Next remove the control board from the unit. Once removed, remove the screws holding the panel onto the door front. Install the new panel in reverse order.

Dan M for Model Number MDB 7609AWW2

My Maytag Dishwasher, front loading, Model #MDB7609AWW2, will not start when START button pressed. Some panel lights work: Heavy, Normal, Light, (lights are ON). When pushed, the Right Side Heat Dry Light comes On. The High temperature and No-Sanitize will not work. The door latch is mechanically good and thermal switch has continuity when tested while disconnected from panel. What to do: is it Touch Pad Control Panel or the Main Control Board? Thanks, Dan

My dishwasher is one and a half yrs. old. Over a period of 4 months 2 cycle buttons stopped working one then the other a short time later. Then the start button stopped working. Drain button works and one cycle button works and yes it will start draining when I hit the button. I replaced the control circuit card and the exact same symptons exist. This appliance was well taken care of and properly installed and yes only 18 months old. Can you help me?
