Unit will not start. I can run it through diagnostic check by pressing hi temp wash/heated dry three times. Amber October 14, 2013 for Model Number MDB7609AWS2 Maytag dishwasher has been working fine for 2 yrs. Tonight the Start button will not function. The Heavy/Normal/Light buttons light up correctly; the Hi Temp/Heated Dry/Sanitize also light up correctly; but Start and Cancel will not "press." I tried the Hi Temp/Heated/Hi Temp/Heated sequence, and got the machine to run through a self-check. During the check, all button lights (including Start & Cancel) did go on. But after self check, I still could not get the machine to start. Will this require a full replacement of the Control Panel (Part Number AP4434653) or the Electronic Control (Part Number AP4588346)? Joel July 10, 2013 for Model Number MDBH979AWB3 The dishwasher does not run. No lights on the front panel are coming on. I have power to door switch and from door switch to control board. I disconnected ribbon cable to front panel and turned power back on. When I closed the door the drain cycle ran for 2 minutes. When I reconnected the ribbon cable to front panel the wash light lit up and the drain cycle ran again. After that no lights on front panel. Which part to change?

Ryan May 19, 2013 for Model Number MDBH979AWB2 All of the sudden, the dishwasher isn't proceeding to to the dry portion of the cycle. Then the start button won't work at all. If you reset the board you will be able to start the wash cycle again...but it will then stop once through wash (no lights lit at that point). Is this definitely the control board? Unit is 3.5 years old and never had any issue until now.
