The three wash choice buttons, "heavy", "normal", and "light", appear to work but 30 seconds after pressing "start" the panel indicates that I have chosen "rinse only" and that is what the washer does. It only rinses. No soap used and no drying cycle. Which parts need replaced? Do I need to replace the control panel, the control board?

Kevin September 07, 2015 for Model Number cannot find the model number We have a 10 year old Maytag 300 Series Legacy Series (all white) working great one day and the next, nothing will respond or light up on the touch pad. Do you think it is just the touch pad? Is a 10 year old machine that gets used about 3 times a week for 10 years. worth repairing? 1500 cycles. it was getting a bit louder but still doing the job. Not sure it is the pump or the touch pad but I suspect the touch pad because no lights, nothing. thoughts?
