Tom December 07, 2012 for Model Number MAH5500BWW part 25001052 Can I get motor and plastic propeller only?
1 Answer Hello Tom! Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not offer the parts separate from the pump assembly WP25001052. Sorry about that! Read More...
Edwin October 16, 2012 for Model Number Maytag neptun MLE2000AYW I have recently changed the washing timer thinking that it was the timer not working properly, the whole cycle run , but the machine is not draining at all. I checked the hoses and took apart the pump to clean it. there was dirt and seem to me like bits of rust. it is best to change the whole component or just the pump itself? or its it time to get a new unit? thanks for the help!
1 Answer Hello Edwin. Test for power coming to the drain pump assembly WP25001052. If there is power there, and the pump does not drain, replace the pump. Make sure there is no clogs in the drain system as well. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Rosemarie M October 14, 2012 for Model Number MAH5500BWW We have a problem with the washer draning water... We checked the pump and unclogged the hose and drain from tub to the pump... We did check the pump for power when we took it out,,, However where do we check the power to the pump when it is connected in the washer.... Could it be the control on the pump... Everythink else workes except the drain of the water......
1 Answer Rosemarie, You probably have a faulty drain pump motor WP25001052. There is no "control" on the drain pump, only a motor and the voltage to the motor is supplied from the machine control board 22004488. You may want to disconnect the red and white wires from the drain pump motor, insert or attach your meter leads to the wire twerminals, and select a spin/drain cycle and start the washer, If you read 120 VAC across the two wires the control board and wire harness are OK and you need the drain pump. If you don't have the voltage, you'll need to check the wires from the drain pump back up to the control board, and check Conn.P6 pin#4(red wire) for 120 VAC out of the control board, no voltage would indicate a faulty control board. Bill W. September 17, 2012 for Model Number MAH5500BWW My machine got the code ND and would never leave that cycle. When I put the drain hose down at floor level it did drain. I removed the motor and disassembled the impeller and they looked damaged, but I'm not sure how big they are suppose to be. I can spin the impeller but it has slight spring back since its a motor I guess thats normal. I sure don't want to replace the motor only to find out its a module somewhere else.
1 Answer Hello Bill, This sounds like the unit has a clog or the pump WP25001052 is bad. These pumps aren't as robust as the other pumps they make and when debris gets to the impeller, it wastes the pump most of the time. You do need to remove both hoses and blow through them to ensure there are no clogs. Read More...
Sherwood A. February 07, 2012 for Model Number Maytag Neptune MAH 6500 The washer groans at different intervals during the spin cycle. Does this sound like a bad drain pump? Or is there a water pump that could make this noise? When it is not groaning the high speed spinning sounds normal. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Sherwood. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the drain pump assembly WP25001052 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Ward November 07, 2011 for Model Number MLG2000AWW It appears there are two different pumps available, based on a "Series" number. Will the Series number be on the pump itself? If not, how do I determine which one to order?
1 Answer Hello Ward. The series are the first two numbers in the serial number. You can use those number to determine which pump WP25001052 or WP22003059 is needed for your unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
Vanessa M. August 14, 2011 for Model Number FAV6800AWW I have a Maytag Neptune washer. It has stopped spinning and a fault code "Lr" keeps coming up. I had this same problem about two years ago and a repair man fixed it after three trips. I can't remember the part that fixed it but when facing the washer he put it on the right side of the washer. My husband could fix it if he knew what part it was. If you could help with this I would greatly appreciate it. When I purchase another washer, it will not be a Maytag, it will be a Whirlpool! Thank you, Vanessa
1 Answer Hi Vanessa. Remove the power. Remove the back. Take the motor connector off. Use an ohm meter on the 2-gray wires. they should ohm out between 155 - 195 ohms. now check the black, white and brown wires. They should ohm out to 5 - 7 ohms between any 2 wires. Check all individual wires mentioned, one leg at a time against the motor chassis to see if any of these windings are grounded. If so then you will need motor part # is WP25001034. If all these windings test out good, then replace the motor control assy. part # is WP25001079. Thank you. Read More...
Sally July 30, 2011 for Model Number Dont know Maytag neptune not draining. Opened and fixed the problem, I thoght, but still when I run it and I get the nd code
1 Answer Sally, the ND code indicates the washer is not draining, or the water level switch is not resetting to the empty position. So, does the washer drain untill it's empty ? if not you may need a new drain pump WP25001052 and the water level switch is probably mounted to the drain pump 12001891 if my guess is right, depending on the model and serial number, Thanks and Good Luck. Jennifer July 26, 2011 for Model Number mah5500bwq the washer will not fill and we are now getting a nd code when we try to run the washer .we just replaced the upper control board and it did not help other than we now get this code, the drain pump is making a bit of noise though.the pump is clear of debris.Help please
1 Answer Jennifer, The "ND" code stands for No Drain, or the control board is not seeing the water level switch circuit, reset to empty. With a noisy pump and a drain code problem, replace the pump WP25001052, and check the drain hoses for debris. The water level switch mounts directly to the top of the drain pump, check the wiring for loose connections, and the interior of the rubber cap and opening for debris,( lint or water/detergent deposits ) blocking the air flow to the switch. Laz June 13, 2011 for Model Number mlg2000aww My maytag washer won't drain all the water out the tub, and won't spin. It leaves the clothes heavy with water.
1 Answer Hello Laz. Make sure the door is locking and the lock light is coming on. If it is not, you will need to check the control board WP22004325 located in the top of the dryer, and see if the R-11 resistor is burnt. If so, you will need to replace the control board and the wax motor WP22002119 in the machine. If it is good, you can check the spin enable switch WP22002162 and see if it is working properly. If it is not, you will need to replace the spin enable switch. If the door is locking correctly, you will need to test the out of balance switches WP22002044 WP22003302. Make sure they have no broken wires and the switches are working correctly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
