Laz June 13, 2011 for Model Number mlg2000aww My maytag washer won't drain all the water out the tub, and won't spin. It leaves the clothes heavy with water.
1 Answer Hello Laz. Make sure the door is locking and the lock light is coming on. If it is not, you will need to check the control board WP22004325 located in the top of the dryer, and see if the R-11 resistor is burnt. If so, you will need to replace the control board and the wax motor WP22002119 in the machine. If it is good, you can check the spin enable switch WP22002162 and see if it is working properly. If it is not, you will need to replace the spin enable switch. If the door is locking correctly, you will need to test the out of balance switches WP22002044 WP22003302. Make sure they have no broken wires and the switches are working correctly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Mickey April 03, 2011 for Model Number MAH5500BWW My washer works normally, but there is a water leak around the base of the drain pump. It does not leak a lot, but the water accumulates on the floor. I checked both hoses attached to the pump. The connections are tight and dry, the hoses are ok. That is the only place on the bottom panel of the washer where I saw any water. What do you think, is the pump the problem? What is your advice? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Mickey. You can remove the front panel and run the machine with it off. Then you can look for the leak and find out where it is coming from. Be sure and check the door boot. If it is leaking from the pump, then you will need to replace the part. Hope this helps. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Jose. Check at the motor control board and see if you have 120 volts AC there. You will read across the black and white wires. If voltage is present, but the motor does not run, we will need the first 2 numbers of your serial number to determine which part you will need. Thanks. Read More...
