Michael S June 09, 2015 for Model Number GU1200XTLB3 The dishwasher has water in it and when I hit the cancel button, nothing happens, no sound and no water moving so I believe the pump is bad but wanted to know if it is just a pump, or is there a motor as well. Looking at the diagram I only see a pump that can be replaced. Looking at the Dishwasher Drain pump Part #AP3133590 for the replacement part. Thanks for the help.
1 Answer Michael, You will want to check to make sure that the pump is getting power to it. If the pump is not getting power to it when you press cancel then the issue would be a bad control board. If the pump is getting power to it then the drain pump WP661658 would be the issue. Read More...
Gary A May 24, 2015 for Model Number kuds01fl Runs thru wash cycle but does not empty out water at end of cycle. However when you hit the cancel button to stop a cycle it will slowly pump out the water remaining in bottom of the dishwasher? What part do think is bad?
1 Answer Gary, With the unit pumping water when hitting cancel but not when the unit goes into the drain at the end of the cycle would be caused by the control board. The part number needed would be WP8564543. Read More...

Jw October 24, 2014 for Model Number KUDM01TJBL1 The dishwasher leaks from the door during the drain cycle. During filling and washing it does not leak. What could cause this?
1 Answer Hello JW. Make sure your not using to much soap and causing suds inside the unit. If not, then it sounds like the door gasket W11196317 will need to be replaced. Read More...
Trod August 26, 2014 for Model Number du1050xtpt0 Do I have to take the dish washer out from under the cabinet to change the drain pump?
1 Answer Hello Trod. The drain pump can be changed without removing it from the cabinet, but is a lot easier to do if the unit is removed and laid on it's back. Also, you may not get it installed properly in the cabinet and have leaks. Read More...
Bob April 25, 2014 for Model Number DU1145XTPB3 My questions are, in the video it gave explicit details on the wiring connections to the drain pump. At the time I had removed those wires, I forgot what placement the wires were in. One wire is grey and the other is blue/ black striped. I also had wires disconnected for a sensor that goes between the drain hose and the drain pump. Yep, forgot those too. They were a white wire and a pink/ brown wire, but there was no indication or marker on the part to determine which goes to what. Finally, The previous owners did a heck of a job when they installed the DW. They placed the direct line cable in a fashion that you couldn't take the washer all the way out, so not knowing this when I tried leveraging the washer out I may have yanked on the cable to the point where it is kinda loosey goosey as it goes into the box underneath where the wire connectors are. So if there is someone there that is knowledgeable about these issues so I don't burn my kitchen down, it would greatly help. Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Bob, Neither the drain pump or the thermistor are polarity sensitive, so wire location isn't a priority, just make sure the connections are tight on the terminals. The electrical conduit, should be attached to the junction box by a nut, it has notches molded into the outer portion of the nut. You'll need to remove power then remove the junction box cover to access it. Quite often, they are left loose, but can be tightened easily. Turn the nut clockwise until tight against the housing, then add a 1/4 turn using a screwdriver or needle nose pliers. Then make sure the wiring connections and wire nuts are clean and tight. Then reinstall the cover. Read More...
Dale M. January 29, 2014 for Model Number Du1100xtpb3 Water will not drain even when cancel is pressed. I removed the drain pump connected to 110 v it runs very well. There is no obstruction in the drain lines. I am thinking control board. I have done the reset on the panel. I never hear the drain pump operate. What is your advise? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Dale, You should run the diagnostic cycle with your test meter connected at the pump connection and see if the voltage is being sent to it. If not, check the harness for an open and the control for the proper output. The diagnostic cycle is covered on the tech sheet which should be located in a plastic bag affixed to the inside of the kick panel. To start the Service Diagnostics Cycle, press the following keys, in order, in less than 6 seconds, while in standby: Heated Dry, Normal, Heated Dry, Normal. Write down the fault codes and look them up on the tech sheet or let us know and we can look them up for you. Of course the most probable cause of the issue is the chopper assembly W10083957V.
