Hello David, You may want to check your bulkhead to make sure that it is not bent. If the roller is not sitting perfectly straight then it will chew the rollers up.

Hi Jojo. With the dryer drum removed, carefully look at the drum weld area. When the weld area passes by the drum roller this is initially where the drum gets its thumping sound. If you feel the drum weld is excessive replace it. The roller which is normally closer to the heater can will catch the heat (especially with a vent restriction) and weaken the roller. Then the oil-impregnated shaft will loose its properties faster and wear out. Roller part # 349241T. You need to spin the roller and listen for squeaks. If the belt tensioner roller is worn it will also squeak part # WP691366. Thank you.

Ccaid for Model Number LER4634pQO

My dryer was running really hard and loud. We have realized one of the drum rollers went bad so we looked on your website to get replacements. I found the correct ones but everything I see makes it seem like the drums usually need to be replaced when the bearing goes bad. The drum that I took off was completely wore down. The black, I'm assuming rubber, around the drum is completely gone and wore down to the plastic. My concern is that there is some underlying prblem that caused the rubber on the drum to grind down like that. I don't want to buy a new one just to have the same thing happen in a couple of weeks. I guess my major question is, is it at all normal for the rubber around the drum to completely grind down? The other drum looks fine. Also we just got this dryer from my wifes brother and it looks as if maybe it were dropped at one point, one side of it is a little bent. Another thing that is weird is that the other drum looks fine. It seems like if something was out of place it would grind both down, I don't know? Look forward to your response.

Hi Ccaid. All drums are made from a flat piece of steel. Then formed by rollers on each end section of the drum. Then they weld the ends (or sides) together and sometimes as the drum rollers pass by the weld seam it has a "bump" noise that is synonymous in all dryers. Inspect the drum weld and see if it is minimal (or livable) standards. If not it is part # 697760. The drum rollers all wear because of 1-one placed above the heater can assy. that catches all the heat, then become out of round. Rear roller kit part # 349241T. Rear Drum Support Roller Kit - 2- pack. Fits all Whirlpool made dryers (Whirlpool, Kenmore with prefix 110, Roper, Kitchen Aid, and Estate). Roller kit comes with 4 tri-rings and one retaining washer. Matching belt 341241 and idler pulley WP691366. Whirlpool dryer repair manual if needed - 677818L. If the vent system clogs and the outside vent cap doesn't open/close properly then this will overheat all internal parts causing premature failures and fires. The rear felt wears and is part # 239087. Along w/ the front glide bearing ring will off-set a tub. Part # WP3394509. Thank You.

Hello Dave. You will need to check the rollers 349241T and the idler pulley WP691366 and make sure they are not locked up. If they are good, and the drum turns freely by hand, you will need to replace the motor 279827. Hope this helps.

Hello Coach. Did you change the roller support shafts WPW10359270 WPW10359269 with the new rollers? If these are worn, there will be alot of play in the rollers. Also, check the felt seals and front bearings and make sure they are good as well. Hope this helps.
