Hello Ken301. Check and see if the water is leaking out of the icemaker. If so, replace the icemaker. If the icemaker is overfilling, replace the water valve.

S Mark for Model Number KTRS20MWH10

Ice sometimes gets stuck on top of icemaker. The part number I have is 4317943. The refrigerator model number is KTRS20MWH10. Its a Kitchen Aid. Usually the ice maker cuts off and stops making ice when this happens. Recently, when the ice gets stuck in the icemaker, the water overfills and pours into the ice bin. The water will not shut off until the stuck ice is removed. What do I need to do? If need be, should I replace the icemaker and all the cables or just the icemaker? Should I also replace the shutoff valve on the back? Please let me know. Ice has been getting stuck for awhile, but this new problem of water pouring into the ice bin is new. Thanks.

Hello Mark. Usually the ice gets stuck because the water valve is not letting in enough water to make large enough cubes to drop out of the rotating fingers. You will need to replace the water valve WP2315576 on the unit. Also, make sure the freezer is 0 to 5°.

Mark for Model Number KBLC36FMS01 Kitchenaide

Earlier I asked the question...I purchased the following...ice maker assembly, wire harness, water filter, water inlet valve.....originally the ice maker was peeling and mixing with the cubes....after removing the ice maker I noticed the terminals were corroded and not making connections....so after replacing all the listed items still no ice...there is water in the tray...because after replacing the ice maker..which I can do in record time now after removing and replacing a number of times...I hear and see water filling the tray...it freezes...but no harvest...what can I check?.....yes I have water pressure....I waited the 72 ....making ice the old fashion way...

Hello Mark. The icemaker cycles based on temp. You need to check and make sure the freezer is 0 to 5°. If not, the icemaker will not cycle. This is the only thing that causes the icemaker to cycle. There is a thermo-disc in the module that closes when cold enough to start the harvest process.

Pat, Typically the icemaker can take up to 24 hours to start making ice. You will want to make sure that the water valve is getting power from the icemaker and check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen.

Hello Mark. Make sure the water is on. And the temp is 0 to 5°. If so, check the icemaker and make sure it is on and the fill tube is not frozen and clogged.

Bill, The model number listed is not coming up as a valid model. While this icemaker 4317943 should work in your unit it is not a complete kit with water valve, tubing and bucket. The most likely icemaker kit for your unit may be part number W11700559 but cannot confirm this without the correct model number.

Hello Kthy, You will need to check the water pressure to the water valve behind the unit. If it is too low the valve will not close properly and cause the complaint you listed. If the water pressure is about 40 PSI or higher, the water valve is suspect and should be replaced. I would order part number 1129316 for the model you listed.

Hello Allen. You have to use a 1/4" nut driver and your hands and feel them to remove them from the unit.
