Murray June 09, 2013 for Model Number arb8057csl Hi, I'm looking for the shut off /on rod. My customer needs icemaker 61005508, but it doesn't come with rod that you put up or down to shut off or on icemaker.
David June 06, 2013 for Model Number SXD27TL My ice maker has quit making ice I don't think the tray is filling since I no longer hear the water flow to the ice maker. the inlet solenoid has already been changed. will I need a replacement Ice maker? If so do you have instructions on how to change it out? Thanks David
1 Answer Hello David, If the water valve has already been changed and the water was turned back on, the icemaker (AP4135008) contacts have probably failed. There will be one screw at the bottom of the icemaker and two at the top. The wiring harness will unplug and it will be loose in your hand. Be aware when installing the new one that the fill tube has to be positioned in to fill cup or the water will go in the freezer compartment. Read More...
Carolyn June 04, 2013 for Model Number part #D7824706Q Just received this icemaker for replacement. We have it installed but there is a small white plastic part :cup fill, it looks like the replacement icemaker already has oneattached. Do we need this cup fill? also, we have the water supply turned on but no water is going to icemaker. What is the problem?
1 Answer Carolyn, You would not need to use the second fill cup that came with the icemaker. As far as the unit not filling with water, it can take a couple of hours for the icemaker to get cold enough to cycle and put water in for ice. If after a couple of house the unit still has not put water in then you will want to check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. If frozen then you will need to clear the ice and replace the water valve. Read More...
Terry June 03, 2013 for Model Number icemaker #WPL D7824706Q The icemaker I received has the wrong water inlet bracket on it. It came with another one that will work. How do I change it without breaking it? It is the plastic part that the inlet water tube goes in, and is attached to the rod with fingers from the motor. Thanks for a reply, Terry
1 Answer Hello Terry, We have a video that shows the replacement of this part. Copy and paste the following link to view the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtPz7_i2qPs Read More...
R A June 03, 2013 for Model Number ED2KHAXVBOO How do I remove the motor for the ice dispensing system?
1 Answer Hello RA. Open the freezer door and look under the bottom of the dispenser cavity. You will see an access panel. Remove the screw and access door and replace the motor W10822606 in the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Paul, This is going to be one of three things: Low water pressure will not close the water valve quickly enough and will cause the ice maker to over fill. A water inlet valve (AP4071513) that is failing will cause the issue. The last possibility is a set of contacts inside the ice maker (AP4135008) sticking. This will normally cause a flood in the kitchen so it is the least likely failure but still entirely possible. Read More...
Mike May 30, 2013 I have a Maytag fridge, with freezer on bottom, Sorry I don't have the model. The Ice maker is producing grey flecks in the ice. I have replaced the water filter, but it didn't help. The unit is 9 years old. Any suggestions?
Ray J May 25, 2013 for Model Number KBULT3661A02 Please advise if I would need to purchase new harness, or if I can use the existing harness on my ice maker. The harnesses that came with the ice maker don't work.
Dick May 24, 2013 for Model Number TPX24PRBJ WW S/N D264454 I have replaced the water valve and water goes to the dispenser in the door, but does not fill the ice maker. I can pour water in the ice maker and it will dump, but does not fill. I do not get any water coming out of the water line to the ice maker right by the water valve. Thanks Dick Phillips
1 Answer Dick, You most likely have a faulty fill switch or mechanism in the control head. Your best bet would be to replace the ice maker WR30X10093. Read More...
