Joel H August 25, 2011 for Model Number KSRS25QDWH03 Our ice maker was getting noisy - it sounded like it does when the ice bin is full, and the ice maker is waiting to dump cubes. We emptied the ice bin, and this didn't help. I then removed the ice maker (including disconnecting the electrical harness) and thawed out the ice maker. We then reinstalled the unit. It made ice, but was still noisy. We removed and thawed the unit again, and this time the cubes had an extra layer of ice connecting all the cubes, and water continued to run. I disconnected the ice maker and removed it, which solved the water problems. I described the situation to a customer service rep, and he indicated that replacing the unit should work, but that I should confirm this in this forum. The unit recommended was AP2984633. Will this work?
1 Answer Joel, Sounds like the icemaker gears gave up in the fill increment, Yes, looks like you're going to need an icemaker assembly 4317943 it would be the easiest and best way to go. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...

Irv R. August 18, 2011 for Model Number jcd2297key Icemaker bin has a small hole in the front causing water to collect in the storage bin. Do I need to replace the entire assembly?
1 Answer Hi Irv. If I understand you correctly, Your ice bin has a "hole" in it where water collects. Do you mean that the ice maker may be over flowing and the bin collecting water?. Is the chute flapper not closing and allowing outside air to migrate in the bin collecting moisture then frezzing? If you need the chute flapper assy. it s part # WP12665101, part # 67007098 and part # WP12562701. Thank you. Read More...
Bill S. August 16, 2011 for Model Number FRS6R5ESBL Hi, When the ice maker goes through it's ice making cycle, the ice maker works just fine,. However, in each cycle, water comes out of the water dispenser on it's own (about half a glass full). What would cause this? Thanks,Bill Selby
1 Answer Bill, The first place to start, and the most likely situation is a malfunctioning fill valve 242252702. The diaphram under the yellow solenoid is coated or damaged and partially opens when the green solenoid valve opens to fill the icemaker. Good Luck and Thanks. Read More...
Fred August 11, 2011 for Model Number Amana sbde20S4SW I need to replace the ice maker in my Amana refrigerator. I found part # AP4135008 which looks exactly like what I have but the one on the web looks like the water comes in from the side of the ice maker while my water comes in from the back. In my current ice maker, it looks like the ice maker had a knockout on the side and back so you would pop off which ever you needed. Does the replacement work the same way? Before I purchase I want to make sure I can use it. Thanks, Fred.
1 Answer Hello Fred! Yes, the replacement icemaker D7824706Q is correct for your Amana Refrigerator model SBDE20S4SW. This is a replacement and may look different from the original in your product, however, it will work and install on your product. Thanks! Read More...
Kevin August 08, 2011 for Model Number msd2652keu My ice maker has been making hollow ice cubes since day one. The paddles get covered with water and freeze up. Is there an ajustment for the amount of water in the tray? If so, where would it be?
1 Answer Hello Kevin! Remove the cover of the icemaker. There is an adjustment screw on the right side of the control module. Turn the screw counter-clockwise to adjust the water level. Hope this helps! Read More...
Patty August 07, 2011 for Model Number ED5GTQXKQ00 When filling the Ice maker water squirts every where and creates a icy mess. What ever water gets into the unit takes 8 to 12 hrs. before the ice drops out to the tray. Sometimes if water stays in the water fill tube it just freezes. Should I replace the whole unit and if so, whats the model # for the unit and everything I need to order?
1 Answer Patty, It doesn't sound like an icemaker problem, not yet anyway, sounds more like a fill valve problem 4318046 or low water supply/pressure. You may want to flush the water supply line to the fridge when you replace the water valve. Thanks and Good Luck. Read More...
