Apple Pie March 05, 2012 for Model Number GVW9959KQ2 I have Wirlpool Calypso washer about 6 years old. It recently started leaking during the rinse cycle. I am handy tools and checked the drain pump (which I had replaced about 2 yrs ago) and all the hoses. They look fine. Also the hoses in the water delivery system under the top panel look fine. No visible damage. Any idea what can cause this? How do I go about investigating this.
1 Answer Hi Apple. Remove the power. Tilt the unit up and support it underneath. Use a flashlight to inspect all of the pump area to see if itself part # 285990 is leaking. Make sure it is not leaking where it mounts to the pump motor. Look at all the hoses. Look at the fill hoses to see if they are leaking at the cabinet. Look at the over flow bag that has a over flow connector at the top of the tub. If the connector is leaking at the top of the tub 8283307 , then you need to replace the inner connector as well part # 8283308. Thank You. Read More...
Joel September 15, 2011 for Model Number ghw9200lw I ordered a counter weight because the original one broke. Once installed it was still viberating so I ordered the shocks and basket springs. I installed the shocks. However, when I took out the spring the original springs are considerably shorter than the replacement. My question is are these the new updated springs or wrong springs?
1 Answer Hello Joel. According to the model number you provided, W10135004 is the correct springs. It looks like they have been upgraded. Hope this helps. Read More...
Mike April 25, 2011 for Model Number Ghw9400pl4 The Service tech checked our 4 year old machine and found one suspension spring had broken and dropped the basket onto the pump housing and broke it. His P & L is very expensive. I have pretty good repair skills. Is this something that I should consider doing myself and is there any instructions available? Also the door gasket got wrinkled during this failure, should I replace it or could I do that later?
1 Answer Mike, it will require removing the top and the front of the unit, to gain access to the components damaged. After assessing the damage it will be dificult for us to advise you can do the repairs or not. Unfortunately we don't have any instructions that we can provide for this repair. For the suspension spring W10135004, for the drain pump order 280187. Thanks Read More...
