Leslie November 18, 2012 for Model Number Jenn-Air S125 Grill Range The post that holds the control knob for one of my burners cracked and broke off. As a result, there's no way to turn the burner on and off, although the burner itself still works just fine. Is my best option to change out the switch?
1 Answer Hello Leslie. Yes, if the shaft is broken on the switch, you will need to replace the switch in the unit. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Ruth. Make sure the power is disconnected. Then remove the grille and remove the two screws in the front of the control. Once the two screws are removed, slide the control box forward and lift it upward to remove it and access the switches W11120791. Make sure you remove the wires from the old switch and mach then up to the new switch. Example is L1 goes to L1 and H1 to H1. Read More...

Mark H October 07, 2011 for Model Number S156 with new replacement cartridges This is an older model Jenn-Air. Replaced the coil burner and grill with flat glass cartridges. The cartridge for the double burner works fine. The cartridge that replaces the grill does work with the following issues: - the control for the large burner activates the burner but does not allow modulation. It's always on high. - the control for the small burner activates both burners with the same problem of modulation. Both burners are on high and turning the knob to low heat makes no difference. As I noted, the cartridge on the left side works fine and when I exchange the two the problem is the same.
1 Answer Hello Mark. It sounds like one of the switches W11120791 is bad and will need to be replaced. Check and see which switch has sticking contacts. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
