Don November 11, 2011 for Model Number RF361PXKQ The large rear burner on my Whirlpool range stays on high regardless of where the control knob is set. I have replaced the switch (AP3095444) twice now and still have the same problem. The first time it worked properly for about a day and a half but the second time I replaced the switch it still stayed on high. Is there another part that could cause this problem? Thank you for your help!
1 Answer Don, If you installed the correct infinite switch WP3149400 , You'll need to check the wiring from the infinite switch to the burner element and the element ribbon for a crossed wire or a bad sensor switch on the element assembly. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...

Lee July 26, 2011 for Model Number RF3779GN The back two burners are not getting hot. Can the problem be with the Surface Unit Switch?
1 Answer Hello Lee. The model number you provided is not working. You can test and see if there is power going to the elements from the switches. If not, you will need to replace the switch that is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Daniel June 16, 2011 for Model Number KitchenAid KERA205 Hi, the light indicator is staying on all the time and after isolating the problem, it seems the switch is not properly set as off. There is no heat on the surface unit. I already changed the simmer switch that was stuck. Do you think changing the surface switch will solve?
1 Answer Hello Daniel. If the surface switch is sending power to the indicator light, then a new switch should repair the problem. Hope this helps. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Weiliang. It depends on which element you are having trouble with. If it is the small element, you will need the small switch. If it is the large element, you will need the large switch. Hope this helps. Read More...
Debbie April 19, 2011 for Model Number RF263LXTQ3 We looked up our Whirlpool stove on your website and it said we should order the Surface Unit Switch part #AP3095444 for the large burner. That's what we ordered, but you sent us the Infinite Switch part #3149400. The metal shaft for the knob is about 1/4-3/8" longer than the part we had. Were we sent the correct part? And if so, are we supposed to break off the shaft so the knob doesn't stick out farther than the rest? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Debbie! I do apologize you are having issues with the knob that you have received from our company. I am showing that 3149400 is the correct part number for the large burner switch on model RF263LXTQ3. Please contact our Customer Service Team at 1-877-477-7278 option 2 for further information and research regarding your order. Thanks! Read More...
David April 05, 2011 for Model Number whirlpool # RF368LXKQ 0 I just replaced the large burner switch with part number 3149400. The metal knob on the new switch is longer than my old one, so it makes the plastic cover knob stick out a little more from the stove. Just wondering if there is anyway to fix that or just something I have to live with. Thank You.
1 Answer Hello David! How long is the shaft on the part received and the one that you originally had? Is there any part numbers on the original switch and the new switch that you have received? Thank you. Read More...
