Curt May 24, 2012 for Model Number WTW7340XWO upon pressing start button after all settings on normal. washer will start to fill for aprox. 10 to 15 seconds and stop. 10 to 15 minutes later it will do the same thing again. never washing or doing anything else. can you give me some insite as to what may be going on? Thank You for your time
1 Answer Curt, Did you not have a error code ( F1, F68, LF, etc.). You would want to check the air dome hose, from the control assembly down to the righr side of the outer tub, make sure it's not kinked, twisted, or clogged, this could disrupt the air pressure to the water level circuit in the control WPW10299400. We're sending you some additional information, that should help you out. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Tamara April 10, 2012 for Model Number RAX4232KQ0 My Roper RAX4232KQ0 does not drain or spin in the rinse cyle. Per other people's inquiries, I do believe it may be the lid switch. Can you please verify what part I am supposed to order? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Tamara. Based on the model number you provided, 3949247V is the correct lid switch. To replace the lid switch, Disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the two screws in the back corners of the control panel securing the control panel. Pull the control panel forward and flip it backwards. Next unplug the lid switch and remove the two brass colored clips securing the cabinet to the back wall using a flat blade screwdriver to pry them out. Pull on the front of the cabinet and slide the cabinet off the frame of the washer. You can now access and replace the lid switch 3949247V. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps. Read More...
Paula928 March 14, 2012 for Model Number RAX4232KQO My Roper Washing Machine keeps on starting and stopping during the fill and rinse cycles. Takes 3-4 hours to complete whole load. I already replaced the lid switch and did not help it. Would it just be cheaper for me to buy new?
1 Answer Hello Paula928. Check and make sure the water is filling correctly from the cold and the hot valve. If one is slow, check and make sure the screens are not clogged. If not, replace the water valve. If the water is good on the unit, you may need to replace the timer WP3954563 is it stops and then starts back on it's own. Make sure the motor is not overheating and shutting off on the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...

Donald January 30, 2012 for Model Number LSQ8543JQD Our Whirlpool electric washer has been in service for about 11 years. Recently, the washer will go through the wash and agitation cycles and then stop before the rinse and spin cycles. Oddly, if we lift the door and use a screw driver to push down on the grey tab beneath the lid (and above the lid switch) the washer revives and moves through the rinse and spin cycles. Does this sound like a lid switch issue?
1 Answer Hello Donald! Make sure that the lid is seated properly and that the lid strike WP358684 is not defective and activates the lid switch. If all is ok, replace the lid switch part number 3949247V. Thanks! Read More...
