Cindy September 09, 2011 for Model Number MHWZ600TB01 EPIC Z MAYTAG FRONTLOAD WASHER I turned off the washer and pressed start the add garment light goes on and the door locks and it spins over once - then the door unlocks and it goes off. I repeated this process several times and sometimes it just clicks twice and the lights on front panel stay on along with the add garment light then door unlocks and it turns off. Water had leaked out of the door area and it did not finish the load just stopped working?? Any suggestions on what is going on or what parts I need to fix this problem?
1 Answer Cindy, Do you not have a failure/error code in the display ? one of two things has occurred; One of the switches of the door lock assembly has failed and is not sending the circuit to the CCU, or The CCU is not seeing the circuit. The ewasher control does not think the door has not been opened or closed, between cycles. WPW10525358 and WPW10253483 would be the place to start. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Cindy September 09, 2011 for Model Number MHWZ600TB01 MAYTAG EPIC Z I turn on to start and only hear a double click and it doesn't start the wash load, everything lights up but no response. Would this switch - WL be the part I need or is it something else?
1 Answer Hello Cindy. You will need to check and see if the door is locking properly. If not, you will need to replace the latch assembly WPW10253483. If the latch is not working properly, the unit will not fill or wash or spin out. Hope this helps. Read More...
Russ September 03, 2011 for Model Number wfw8410sw02 Our machine will not finish cycle , shuts off w>out unlocking the door, getting frequent sd codes, and we are using HE soap.wondering if pressure switch might need replaced? most times will still have water in drum, but not always.
1 Answer Russ, You're sure the tub is draining completely ? if thats correct, then yes, check the water level switch and the air dome hose for clogs and kinks W11417619 and W11252474 . If the water level switch is not indicating an empty tub, the door won't unlock, if there is air restricted in the air dome hose, it can cause the "SD" (sudsing) code, because there too much pressure in the hose, if it's restricted. Scott August 31, 2011 for Model Number 11047512601 I confirmed no plug in the hoses. Disconnected pump and put multimeter on connector. Started up and got 120 V AC for several seconds, then heard relay click and got Error F33. Reset and got exact same result. Sounds like power is there and error is because pump load not there at the moment. So replace pump?
1 Answer Hello Scott. Yes, based on the information you provided, you will need to replace the pump. Hope this helps. Read More...
Scott August 30, 2011 Thanks for info on looking elsewhere. I did locate the small tube from the water pressure tube and blew on it and could hear the water bubbling. Checked the waste hoses and cound not see any blockage. No ,ore gunk in the hoses or filter. It then pumped very slowly about 1/3 gallon of water out then back to F21 error. I can hear the water gurgling like the pump operates a bit, but usually no wter comes out. How do I check the impeller, to see if it has seized up or detached from the input shaft? I can feel it with my finger and it is clear on either side. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Scott. Check and make sure all hoses are clear of clogs. If so, you will need to replace the pump WPW10730972 based on the information you provided. Test and make sure there is 120 volts AC coming to the pump during drain cycle. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Scott August 30, 2011 for Model Number 11047512601 Where is this part located and how do you get access to it? I've cleaned the filter (lots of gunk) but water still does not empty from drum even though I hear noise from water pump (maybe water pump is not working itself, can't tell). I want to try clearing the hose from switch first. Thanks
1 Answer Scott, The water level switch is located inside the control panel, but thats not your problem. The water level switch controls the water into the washer, not out of the washer. You will need to remove the cabinet and top, to access the drain pump, remove the hoses and check the pump and both hoses for clogs, and the impeller, to see if it has seized up or detached from the input shaft.
