Steve December 12, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool quiet wash plus # DU925QWDB5 Stuck in locked mode ,have tried pressing the air dry button for 5 seconds like it says also tried high temp and dry then cancel still locked out, disconnected the ribbon connector for the keypad ,light goes out,not sure if there is a fuse somewhere? please help relatives coming for xmas!
1 Answer Hello Steve, It may be showing the lock out due to another issue. This unit if you have multiple keys stuck on on the touch pad then the unit will cause the lock light to flash. Try to disconnect the ribbon harness between touch pad and control board. Make sure the contacts are clean and reinsert. If the light still will not goe off then you would need to replace the membrane switch. Read More...
Mike August 18, 2012 for Model Number DU927QWDQ1 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER dishwasher was not running but the inside smelled warm like after dishes ran a cycle. Heater coil not hot. Upper right side of door panel is warm to touch, inside and outside. When I turned off circuit breaker to the dishwasher it cools off. Is it the electronics getting hot for some reason?
1 Answer Mike, The warm control panel, would be a "normal" occurrence. As long as the door is closed and latched shut, there is voltag supplied to the control board, and certain components will be "active" and can produce a warm feeling on the panel and door assembly(s). With the warm control board area, the door switches and fuse, should be fine, so the issue should be in the user interface 3380893 or control board WP8531292. We'll send you some information, so you can program a test mode, and check the operation of the dishwasher. Thanks Read More...
Nick August 17, 2012 for Model Number DU930PWPS2 The light on my panel do not work and the dishwasher doesn't run. There is power getting to the unit. It worked once last week by jiggling the handle a bit. I think it's something with the handle not thinking it's properly closed. My jiggle the handle trick doesn't seem to work. Can I replace this?
1 Answer Nick, Your description would lead to a possible issue in the handle WP3369457 or latch assembly WP3380854. If there's a broken tab or crack in the frame etc, the handle won't interact with the latch assembly properly. There is also the possibility of a faulty door switch as well 4318273 Once you remove power to the dishwasher and remove the inner door liner from the door assembly, you'll have access to the latch and switches, and can determine the issue. Tom November 16, 2011 for Model Number du920qwdb3 I believe my fuse has blown. I am trying to remove the inner door panel. I have removed all 8 star head screws. The panel will not lift off. It seems to be catching on something in the upper part of the door. I looked for a screw or latch but I see none. What am I missing?
1 Answer Hello Tom. Make sure all of the screws are removed from the bottom to the top of the inner door panel. If so, it will lift out of the unit. You may need to use a flat blade to help remove the door panel and access the fuse 675813. Hope this helps. Read More...
