I know that part # AP3020198 Is the correct replacemant # for My Whirlpool Model # LSQ8543JQ0. What I need to know is will # AP3020198 work on my Maytag model # LAT8005AAE, even though the Maytag Part # is AP4026841? which is made by whirlpool Are these two Part #'s Compatiable?? Hello Jeff! If the washer is not going into the spin cycle, yes, you will need to check the lid switch 3949247V. You should hear a clicking noise when the lid is closed, this indicates the lid switch activates. You can also check the lid switch using a multimeter MA-DM1. Hello John. If the noise is coming from the water valve, you will need to check and make sure the screens are not clogged, and the hoses are clear. If so, you may have a bad water valve 285805. Hope this helps.

Hello Barbara! For the upper portion of the agitator not working you will need the agitator repair kit part number 285809. For the spin and drain issue, make sure that the lid is being shut all the way and that the lid switch 3949247V has not become defective. You should hear a clicking noise when the lid shuts, this is the switch activating. Hope this helps!
