Brian December 05, 2023 for Model Number WFW9200SQ00 Recently I have been having an issue with the cold water intake. The machine turns on, but the lights start blinking and no water comes in. I get no error code and the cycle will work on the warm setting. The intake screen was just cleaned and the hose appears fine. What do the blinking lights mean?
1 Answer Brian, Test to see if there is 120 vac to the cold water valve and if there is proper power then the valve is faulty and will need to be replaced. Read More...
Brian December 05, 2023 for Model Number bkowen1064@hotmail.com When I use the cold water o[tion, no water enters the machine and lights blink, but no error code. Warm cycle works most of the time. What could be the issue? I already cleaned the screen which didn't solve the issue.
1 Answer Brian, Check for power to the cold valve when it should be calling for water. If there is power and no water the valve would likely need to be replaced. Anything further we will need the model/serial numbers to properly research your issue and give you the correct information and part numbers for the machine you are working on. Read More...

Evelyn September 07, 2021 for Model Number WFW8300SW03 My fabric softener dispenser is not draining during the entire wash cycle, also my Whirlpool Duet washer is displaying F20 & the washer will stop with soaking clothes in the wash cycle, I can manually advance to spin & rinse to complete cycle, What do you think is wrong?? Thanks for your reply. My sn# HLW0446762 type 831
1 Answer Evelyn, The F20 will indicate no water coming into the unit. This would cause the fabric softener to not dispense and could be caused by a clogged water valve screen or a possible faulty water valve. Read More...
Michael January 23, 2021 for Model Number 11049962603 Keep getting the f20 code. I disconnected both water lines to make sure inlet filters were clear and to make sure water was flowing through the lines ok. Then cleaned filter at bottom of machine. Also inspected by the pump and just inside the door to make sure no socks got into the system. Still getting f20 code. My girlfriend said she ran it on a quick wash and it ran without the f20 code. Also noticed water leaking from the bottom of what looks like the tub when i removed the bottom panel.
1 Answer Michael, If there is no water coming into the unit, test for 120 vac at the water valve and if there is no power then the control board will be the issue. Read More...
1 Answer Mike, The F30 error code is a dispenser system error. 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check mechanical linkage from dispenser motor to the top of the dispenser. 3. Check the wire harness connections to the dispenser motor and Central Control Unit (CCU). 4. Check dispenser motor for powered rotations. Read More...
Gary Black September 20, 2018 for Model Number WFW9400SU00 I Have a Whirlpool Duet WFW9400SU00 ...When I first start the washer, while water is filling about a minute into it .. I get F20... What part would I need .......Any assistance will be greatly appreciated
1 Answer Gary, The F 20 error code " NO WATER DETECTED ENTERING MACHINE OR PRESSURE SWITCH TRIP NOT DETECTED" On your washer there are a few things to check, Check and clean the fill hose and valve screens. Check the wires between the flow meter WPW10110225 and the control board. Disconnect the air tube WPW10004260 from the water level switch WPW10514214, blow in the end of the tube, to clear any debris or sediment that may have accumulated in the fittings. Then check the wiring between the water level switch and the control board. If all's OK and the problem persists replace the CCU. Read More...
Kevin P February 11, 2018 for Model Number mfw9600sq0 After starting washer it will stop and throw code F05 reset and will work sometimes. Any help.
1 Answer Hello Kevin. If during the water heating step in the wash cycle, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, the “F/05” error code will be displayed. Possible Causes / Procedure 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check the water temperature sensor. Refer to the “Water Temperature Sensor” section. Check connections to the water temperature sensor. 3. Check resistance of heating element, if present on this model. (abnormal = infinity) Read More...
Mike Lang December 22, 2017 for Model Number Kenmore Elite He3t model 11049962600 smart wash quiet pack 4 type 199 Machine throws F20 error code about 1 minute into every cycle tried. Cleaned inlet valve screens which were sedimented (on a well). Before shotgun ordering/replacing parts like the solenoid valve (I suspect the valves are grtitted up by sediment), pressure sensor, and flow sensor, could you please tell me how to enter the diagnostic mode for this specific machine ? I can't find how to enter diagnostics for this exact machine on the web. And is there a way to test the solenoid valve assembly after removing it from the machine ? Are the coils energized by 110VAC or some other voltage ?Thanks ! Mike
1 Answer Mike, The coils on the valve are energized by 120 vac. If there is 120 vac getting to the valve then the issue will be a faulty valve and if there is no power then the control board would be the issue. Read More...
Ck May 11, 2016 for Model Number GHW9400PW4 FH error Replaced water inlet flowmeter, switch WI, and control board. No success. Thoughts
1 Answer Hello CK. Possible Causes / Procedure ¦ If there is no water in the unit: — Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way. — Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves. — Verify inlet valve operation. ¦ If there is water in the unit: — Verify drain pump operation. — Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and properly connected to tub and pressure switch. 1. Verify there is not a siphon problem. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves, pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU). 4. Check all hoses for possible leaks. 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. Verify pressure switch operation. 7. Verify flow meter operation by blowing air through the part and measuring the resistance. 8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle. Read More...
