Tim June 23, 2015 for Model Number Whirlpool refridgerator #GD25DI The spout on the water tube assembly #2180225 is broken. Can you purchase just the spout that fits onto the end of the tubing? This is the part that gets screwed to the water actuator. Or do you have to purchase the tube assembly with the spout? I don't want to replace the water tube through the door unless I have to. Thank you
Don April 25, 2015 for Model Number 106.55602400 I watched the video to replace the tubing in the freezer door. Appears to be an easy fix. I pulled the hose out prior to connecting a string to help fish the new line through. Is there an easy way to fish the new water line through without the old hose?
1 Answer Hello Don. Try fishing just the string through the hole in the dispenser. If it does not go, then just fish the water line starting at the dispenser side. Read More...
Jim April 17, 2015 for Model Number 10657762790 The water tube that goes from the valve into the fridge and ultimately to the door water dispenser has a leak about a foot from the valve. This tube appears to be 5/16 od but I'm not sure. Can you verify? Can I cut out leaking spot and replace using tube and push on connectors? That's what I want to do but I need to know size of tubing. Thanks!
1 Answer Jim, The tubing that goes from the water valve to the water tank located in the back of the refrigerator compartment then to the dispenser is a 5/16" tube. In some cases the tank is a coil of water line and you may be able to pull a little more out of the cabinet and cut the old spot off and use what is already there without having to splice it. Michael October 04, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool / MDL # GD5RHAXNBOO The water hose goes through the bottom of freezer door to water dispenser. The hose has a leak at the bottom entrance of freezer door. I watched your video on how to replace the hose. Seems simple enough. Now my problem: I cannot find the part # for the hose replacement. Did live chat and Elizabeth said part # AP3179954. When I enter this # on xcrossing it tells me its not compatable. I would like to get the correct part # before ordering. Another person on the call phone # (Holley) told me this certain unit I would have to buy the whole door. Sounds a little off the wall for a 1/4 plastic line. Can you please help me out? Thank You
1 Answer Hello Michael, Elizabeth is correct. You will need to order part number 8201537. Please disregard our compatibility tool. It is in work and still is not recognizing all part and/or model numbers. Read More...
Elaine June 23, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool ED22RF Side by Side Refrigerator Hi, When we push on the water dispenser flap in the door, water pours out of the front of the grate at the bottom of the refrigerator. Any suggestions about what might be wrong? We have successfully repaired a number of things on the fridge in the past, so we are capable of minor repairs. Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello Elaine. You need to remove the grille from the bottom of the unit and see if there is a bad coupling or if the water line there is bad. Read More...

Bobbie May 21, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool ED22RF Refrigerator/Freezer We have a leak in the water line in the BACK of the refrigerator/freezer, not the front. The leak is very close to the bottom, about 12" from where the tube goes into the bolt at the back bottom corner of the freezer side. We have a very long water line and have a lot of extra. Can we just cut the part away that has the hole and reconnect with the fresh end? or do we need to buy a whole new line so it has a special end? We didn't want to cut it and find out we need to order a whole new line anyway. Please advise as soon as possible. HELP! Thanks.
1 Answer Bobbie, Based on the information, yes, you can cut the water supply line and attach it to the water valve as you plan. Just make sure the end of the tube is cut cleanly and evenly, and clean any burrs off the end to be inserted/attached to the valve. Also make sure you run a gallon or so of water through the water dispenser. this will clear any air in the tubing and flush the water supply system. Read More...

Dennis January 11, 2014 for Model Number ksrs27ikbl01 Hi, Just replaced my water dispenser line, but it continues to leak. One of the other questions mentioned replacing the check valve. What's the part # for a KitchenAid ksrs27ikbl01? Thanks, Dennis
1 Answer Hello Dennis, There is no check valve on the water dispenser short of the water inlet valve. If water drips from the water dispense line there is air in the water system, either from the water supply or in the water filter. There could be a loose fitting allowing air to enter the system but this will normally allow water to leak from the line at that point. Try purging the air from the line by throwing away about two gallons of water dispensed from the dispenser. If this doesn't take care of it, there is air in the water supply to the refrigerator. You can install a check valve 8201815 but since one is not present, it will just be installed and not replaced. Read More...
