This evaporator coil assembly circulates refrigerant and absorbs heat inside the refrigerator/freezer, restoring proper cold temperatures and supporting the appliance's defrost cycle. Replaces a worn or damaged evaporator to help recover cooling performance. What it does:

• Circulates refrigerant and removes heat from the cabinet air
• Enables the freezer/refrigerator to reach and maintain proper cold temperatures
• Works with the evaporator fan and defrost system to prevent excessive frost buildup
• A faulty evaporator can cause poor cooling, warm compartments, or visible frost/ice on the coil

• Disconnect power before starting and follow proper safety procedures
• Replacing the evaporator may require recovering refrigerant and sealed-system work
• Handle fins and tubing carefully to avoid damage; minor straightening with a fin comb may be needed
