Dryer stops early on auto cycle but works on timed? The moisture sensor control board monitors dryness levels. DIY-friendly repair, 15-20 minutes.
Did some research via the internet and figured the problem was likely the moisture control board. Watched a video of the repair of a similar unit in order to locate the moisture control board. Used the chat feature with one of the Appliance Parts Pros to get a schematic of the dryer and advice about where to use the putty knife to release the springs for access to the board. Ice dispenser not working or auger keeps falling off? This coupling connects the motor to the auger. Simple 15-minute DIY fix restores ice dispensing.
Required new ice bin (container) which has busted up in pieces from the stress of trying to turn while half melted ice had it jammed, something had to give. Machine screw secures panels, brackets, and internal components in washers. Replace missing, rusted, or stripped screws to restore proper fit and alignment.
I ordered new latch and 2 new screws ( imagine not having the screws). I put latch in place and with a phillips screw driver attached 2 screws. Tada works like new. - Didn't see any other leaks in machine. No grinding transmission noise. Assumed seal on transmission shaft was bad, since it was a central leak down the rotor.
