Replaced the entire ice making unit. It was a very simple project. The original ice maker is held in place by two screws at the front and some tabs in the back. After reading stories on this website I decided the problem was probably the control board. I ordered the sensors also just in case. The display has been dim for awhile so I got that also. I replaced the board and the display in less than an hour. It is working perfectly now so I never installed the sensors. I believe the board was ruined by a recent power outage. I was not able to find the exact part, so I ordered several different parts from various websites. There was one that did fit but the electrical connection was the wrong type. I clipped off the connection from the new motor and spliced on the connection from the old motor. Now it seems to be working like a charm. Read more
