Took cover completely off and tried putting back, could not match up left screw with available screw hole. Tried many different configurations and sequences to make this happen. watched a video on changing the front panel, the door in it had four screws, mine 2, no help there. Searched on the hyperextending issue, found an article about dogs and kids [had both here] climbing on the door and to check the springs and linkages. • Will not fill with water

I took the inlet valve apart, found it was clogged with sediment, so I cleaned it and reinstalled it. Water was still not filing, so I figured the valve was sticking. I ordered a new valve,because $30 was a lot cheaper than a new dishwasher. I took out the old valve with two screws, and disconnected the supply line, the brass elbow, one hose, and a wiring harness. After inspecting screen and drain hose with no obvious cause, replaced drain pump. Removal of the pump was very straight forward. 3 screws, 2 electric connections, and 1 hose clamp was all that was needed. Read more

The odor in the dishwasher was due to scum buildup in the walls, the racks, and in the lower part of the drain below the lower rotating arm. One of the valves in the vertical tube was stuck in the open position; since the valves cannot be replaced, the entire tube needed replacement. The check valve probably needed no replacement, but once I opened the bottom part, I decided to replace it anyway. I figured the valve that allowed water into the dishwasher was bad, or some controlling function of this process. I went online, typed in model number and had a full exploded view of the parts in my dishwasher. I ordered the inlet solenoid valve as the first step to what may be wrong. The door cables attach to springs that help the user open/close the dishwasher door. I attached the new door cables to the springs then attached springs to the intended mounting locations on the door. However, the new cables were shorter than the originals. This created enough tension in the springs to cause the door to close by itself. I was forced to change the springs' mounting locations. Purchased door springs from Appliance Parts pros.com, installed them and door on our Dishwasher was back to normal, Had to pull out dishwasher from under cupboard to get to springs, as they were on the sides of the dishwasher. Read more

Since my Samsung Dishwasher would not drain and had a flashing quick light, I removed the racks and both spray wands. Which allowed me to remove the lower screen assembly. This revealed a worn and broken check valve and broken grinder blade. I cleaned the inside of the dishwasher and removed the unit from under the counter.
