I realized my load of laundry was still wet after a normal drying cycle. My first action was to turn the dryer on (2010 gas Maytag centennial) and open the front port to look at the ignitor coil. It never turned orange so I knew there must be a problem with the primary circuit. I shut off the dryer, disconnected the power, pulled it away from the wall, shutoff the gas, and removed the back panel. The part is so new no video so I went onto a similar part and watched video that got me about 80%. Then, called and customer service sent me a service Manual but this still was not specific so I broke the old to get it out and in the process figured out how to do it correctly. I have order three parts, guide filter, cover guide, and sensor assembly. My previous cover guide was from two parts, when sensor assembly was one of them. New part ( guide cover ) was all in one piece so I just transfer old metal part of sensor to new cover guide and I don't need that sensor assembly anymore. I have ordered all three parts overnight by Fedex, ordered 15 min before 5pm, so next day it was here. Dryer is fixed, I'm happy. Read more

There is a video on youtube that talks about how to disassemble the electronic component out of the control board so I really won't go into that part of it. This disassembly of the control board will need to take place before you can even get started taking the gray piece out of the console to replace it. This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

We ordered a door switch, dryer latch and strike plate. We realized that we only needed to replace the door switch. We watched a few videos and then replaced the switch. We couldn’t find a video for our model but they did give us a pretty good idea about what we needed to do. The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. I removed the lid to get to the two philips head screws to remove that part of the shut-off switch. I took the new switch out of the package and compared it to the old switch.
