Broken door latch Peter E. • Loxahatchee , FL • April 04, 2014
This was much easier than expected. I called Appliance Parts Pros with my model # and you told me what part I needed. It was shipped the same day and arrived the next day. I removed the inner door trim with a table knife ( don't rush this or you might crack the trim ). I then unhooked the old door latch disconnected the spring from the door hooked on the spring from the new latch and clipped in the latch to the door. Final step was to reattach the door trim. It was very easy and all I used...

Microwave blew line fuse Gerald G. • St. Louis , MO • August 05, 2019
It took a long time to determine the problem but eventually I discovered that the plastic bracket (latch hook) that held the three door-switches showed appreciable wear from repeated door openings and closings. This wear stopped the door from sealing properly and the door switch safety mechanism blew the line fuse. I replaced the worn bracket (AP6230612) as well as the plastic latch mechanism (AP4553585) on the door that engages this bracket (and of course the fuse too) and the microwave now...

Right latch broke Eric M. • Minnetonka , MN • March 31, 2018
Ordered the left and right latch, took off the trim ring, unscrewed the door face and removed it, replaced the latches and I was done! The reason these parts are so expensive is because they are METAL, not the cheap original plastic.

Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 5304470548
The Latch is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire built-in microwaves. Securely mounted to the top interior section of the microwave cavity door, the positive-locking latch holds the door safely shut during operation. Crafted from corrosion-resistant materials for extended use, the latch handle withdraws the hook mechanism with a simple pull to conveniently access food within.
Symptoms of a bad latch include:
- The microwave door popping or falling open unexpectedly
- Difficulty closing or fully engaging the secure latch hook
- Wear signs like loose mounting points or a worn handle
Causes can involve repeated opening/closing cycles gradually loosening mounting fixtures, or parts rendered ineffective by moisture intrusion over time.
Replacing this Frigidaire OEM latch prevents potential microwave door opening during cooking cycles. Compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore built-in models.

Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB27X600
This high-voltage transformer supplies the ignition voltage used to create sparks for gas burner/oven ignition. Replaces a worn or failed transformer to restore reliable spark firing and consistent burner ignition. What it does:
- Converts line voltage to the high-voltage pulse needed for spark ignition
- Sends ignition sparks to surface burners or oven igniters so gas will light
- Common symptom: clicking with no visible spark at the burner or burner(s) that fail to ignite
- Other symptom: intermittent ignition or weak sparking
What's included:
- One high-voltage transformer
Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing to avoid electrical shock
- Handle the transformer and high-voltage leads with care; do not operate with covers removed
- Verify correct diagnosis before replacing; check ignition module, wiring, and spark electrodes for faults
