This is the ice level sensing arm that detects when the ice bin is full and signals the ice maker to stop producing ice. It pivots up as ice accumulates in the bin, triggering the shut-off mechanism. Replace this arm if your ice maker won't stop making ice, stops producing ice prematurely, or if the arm is broken, bent, or not moving freely.

This thermodisc temperature switch senses refrigerator evaporator temperature and helps control defrost and cooling cycles to prevent overcooling or prolonged defrost runs. It's a compact replacement part for temperature regulation systems. What it does:

- Helps stop defrost heater when the evaporator reaches target temperature
- Can prevent extended cooling cycles when the sensed temperature indicates the system has reached desired cold
- Restores normal cycling when a failed thermostat causes continuous run or no cooling
What's included: One thermodisc temperature switch Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing to avoid shock or injury
- Confirm location and orientation with the appliance wiring diagram before removal

Missed good old fashioned ice trays Cheryl S. • Mesa , AZ • September 30, 2018
Just missed having decent ice trays. The only ones I could find were either:
1. Expensive
2. Flimsy - only lasted a couple of months
3. Silicone-bottomed that half the compartments leak after a few uses
These are the wonderful old fashioned kind that are easy to use and last forever. Just didn’t think I’d find them again!

The freezer was working but the refrigerator wasn't cooling Steve H. • Hamilton , OH • October 10, 2016
The refrigerator is on top and freezer on the bottom. First I cleaned the access cover in the rear of the unit but this didn't fix the problem. I removed the ice maker and panel inside the freezer. The coil was frozen solid. I took off the defrost thermostat and check the continuity and it failed this test. After ordering the new part I installed it and put everything back together. It is now working perfectly.
