This is a control knob used on dryers, typically for the timer or cycle selector. It attaches to the timer shaft and allows you to select drying cycles and settings. Replace this knob if it is cracked, broken, or if the D-shaped mounting hole has worn out, causing the knob to spin freely without engaging the timer shaft.
