Followed the video- opened the front of the dryer and removed the drum. It was evident that one of the wheels had worn and wasn't turning freely like the other one. The video showed how to remove the roller. Very simple process and now the dryer works just fine. Read more

Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP. I ended up finding the Dryer schematic on line for the Whirlpool Duet natural gas dryer and was able to figure out what sequence the Spring, regulator and limiter went in. The order I just... After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I had been ordering the wrong parts - I did use the online parts locator after checking, & double checking my model number. Apparently my older Whirlpool dryer has a somewhat ambiguous model number because the rollers that were shipped each time looked nothing like the originals. Located model number and went to Appliance Parts Pros.com to check the repair instructions on belt and motor. Used the suggestions to diagnose problem as a broken belt. I also ordered two top locks to replace the originals that were very brittle plastic that broke when I opened the dryer. Ordered the parts on Presidents Day, and received the parts the next day. Googled what would cause that. Found or needed a new timer. Searched for the best priced timer online. Found one here for a good price. Replaced it myself very easy replacement and saved at least 100 dollars doing it myself. Read more

This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

First I watched videos about squeaking Kenmore dryers. Then I used that information to open the dryer, diagnosing the fact that the roller on the drum belt tension arm had broken and actually fallen off the arm.
